It was approximately 4:30 am EST, when my husband and I awoke, and got ready for work. We left our home at approximately 4:50 am (we rode to work together), and drove to the local convienience store, which was our normal routine. This convienience store is located within one mile from our home, in Greenville, S.C. We arrived at the store, at 4:55 am, I know this because, as I stated earlier, this was our normal routine, and I also happened to look at the car clock, while my husband went inside the store. He returned to the car at 5:05, and we begain the journey to his place of employment. It was stil dark when we pulled out of the store parking lot. We turned left onto the highway, and begain our daily ride to work. We had traveled approximately one block (these are small blocks) when the radio announced that the time was 7:45 am. What? My husband and I starred unbelievingly at the radio. We looked at each other in disbelief. I asked my husband what time he had, and he checked his watch. His watch showed the time to be 7:45. This was also confirmed by the cars clock as well. We suddenly were aware that the sun had already risen. Somehow, with no apparent explaination, my husband and I had been cheated out of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Where had the time gone? We both were late to work, and all that we could tell our bosses, was that we had lost 2 hours and 40 minutes from our lives. My husband later informed me that his boss didn't buy the story. I was more fortunate however, because three days later, the same thing happened to my boss. Then he had to believe me, because he had also experianced the loss of time. What is my explaination for all of this? I have none. I am no closer today in being able to explain this, as I was when it happened. My relatives and friends think that my husband and I are crazy, or just made this whole story up. I swear that these events, as relayed in this story are true. Should anyone have any suggestions as to what occured that day, please do advise me of such. If anyone has ever heard of simular events happening to someone else, I would appreciate any references to such stries or articles. This has really made me question the events of that day. Had it only happened to me, I could explain it off as though perhaps I looked at the clock wrong, but when my husband is as sure of the time as I was, how do you explain such an occurrance?
