I understand. I don't post alot of debates or anything that people could disagree with alot, so I don't get alot of negative comments. I have had people say hateful things though. I love USM and try very hard to be nice as I can. I don't think I have ever made anyone mad, but I guess if I did, I never knew it. I am sorry someone did you this way. I am sure it was uncalled for. We can be/say one thing when one person is looking, and then turn around and be/say something completely different elsewhere. The internet is really no different than interacting with people in REAL LIFE. Personalities sometimes clash, even in here. There is no way that you are going to like EVERYONE in the world, so how can you expect everyone to like you. Human nature dictates that there are frictions, and we cannot control that, only accept it and go on. I, for one, would NEVER tell anyone they have a BAD post, unless they were extremely rude to the USM site. If I dont like a post, I just choose NOT to reply to it because I realize that the person writing it put THEIR effort in it and they did NOT do it to please ME...lol. I dont think we are here to criticize, just to have fun, be creative, and enjoy each others talents...***Gail***  |

To me what I don't like is when people use very little or no tact. Sure we're going to disagree with each other but it's not right to be rude to someone about their post and say it's dumb or ask what's your point etc. It sounds like elementary school kids. I would have to say that some have a bigger following.....and when peeps see a "popular" peeps post, they may not even really read it, just agree becuase it seems to be the thing "to do", the same sentiment goes with out saying in regards to someone that may not particularly like. they take the offensive mode and reply to the person, not the story. Now as far as the two faced thing, I am kinda confused by what you mean exactly...like someone says yes they agree with you, then goes to another post and agrees with an author who posts a story OPPOSITE of yours???? if that is it, I can think of MANY reasons that peeps may do this......some reasonable, some not..................If I have ever done that (cant say for sure I actually have or have not) it may be do to the fact that both peeps have valid arguements and I can see both points of view as "right" or correct, if that is possible:)  |

Hey Cblossom... No, what i mean is like this Ex: You post a story about weither dogs are good house pets. Lets say i respond and tell you that your post is stupid and "why did you post it" and I totally disagree... Then lets say Eddy posts the same thing a couple weeks later and I respond like "This is a great post! I love dogs! I totally agree!" So i guess that is sorta the same thing you said... I dunno...LOL |

OH....then that is just wrong!!! and shows that these peeps can not "think" for themselves, they are motivated by who the poster IS and not the post it's self:( that is actually kinda sad and unfair to the poster of a possibly great point of view....they are judging others and not stoping to think that someone that actually do not like for whatever reason may still have some valid points to make. I also tend to see a lot of peeps joining "the crowd" for many reasons. one is fear that they will lose their frineds if they do not always agree with them, but sorry to say...that is NOT a real friendship. Me and bwearise for example have entirely differant views on "religion"...we discuss and respect the other opinions, we talk though love and respect for each other and ACCEPT the differances. We also know that knowing we are right within ourselves and our chosen path doesnt make the other one wrong. we are friends despite our differances of opinion, and maybe even better friends due to those same differances:) how boring and ungrowing would it be to have friends that are mirror images of ourselves??? if that were the case...I would rather sit home, look in the mirror and talk to myself:) hey!!!! I do that sometimes:)LOL |
