hehe, well you could try it. or say something like, "hello you've reached the house of ______. If you do not recognize this name, chances are you got the wrong number. I do not know a Mr. Phillips! But if you are calling for ___ please leave a message!" or something like that |

Man I get those all the time. We lose our phone when it rains all the time so I have to go to decatur to use my friends phone to change the message. Once I put water in my mouth and then said "Our phone line are under water today, please call when they dry out or leave a message after the beep." It sounded hilarious and I had so many mssgs of "Hey, so n so said to call and listen to this." LOL  |

Diana ,I get the same kind of calls on a regular basis, one day I even call the bill collector company and asked to speak with the manager or supervisor because I was just that fed up. I even getcalls from a school about how my kid was'nt there today, glad to say that is not my kid,and when i tried to call back to thaat school they had no idea of who they were call because its done by a computer and there was no name given and they could not match the phone number with a student, imaginre that. Hey thanks for sharing, I guess the next business call or wrong number maybe we should just talk to the person until they become irratated enough not to call back.LOL |

Oh jeez.... we changed our phone number recently, and we CONSTANTLY get wrong numbers. We especially get calls for a construction company called "Cordy Blue" or something like that. Their letterhead mixed up 2 of the numbers, so their phone number is very similar. It's SOOOO annoying when we get these calls... so now I'm thinking of creative things to say when we get wrong numbers. It's pretty fun.  |
