I am trying to help my wife find her biological father. The information we have is limited but hopefully someone may recognize the events and names. My wife was born in Ashland Oregon on March 13, 1964. Her mothers maiden name was Mary McCartney and lived with her mother Marge McCartney. Mary's father died when she was young. She had four brothers. Mike, Tim, Dennis and Pat. My wifes birth certificate indicates the father to be Harvey Weiman. In 1986 with my wifes grandmothers help we located Harvey's parents in southern California. They were adament that Harvey was not the father and that Mary had tried to pin him as the father and that resulted in the divorce of their short lived marraige. An old friend of the family said that he was sure my wifes father was a man who served in the service with my wifes uncle Mike McCartney and that it too was a short lived relationship prior to him going back to duty. This man also would have known Jessy Thompson. The relationship would have occured in the early summer of 1963. My wife was abandoned by her family except her grandmother who is very close to her. She desires to know who her father was and hopes to one day meet him. Why we are looking for them:My wifes life would be changed just by knowing. She has had no contact with her mother since 1988. Her family has abandoned her.
