You know I totally agree with you cuz I've noticed this to and I do think it is unfair. I'm seeing people here with tags that are newer members and some of the older members have yet to recieve theirs.  |

Thanks for the insight Ship. I would take this matter to admin adn see what their response is. You should try talking to some of the newer tag members to see when they got theirs. Not of all them had theirs made by admin mind you. I am considering making one myself. It sounds challenging but also fun. Don't get too discouraged, we hear ya brother. DaVe  |

You know, these types of posts really crack me up, because I have been coming to this site since before there weren't even author id numbers. Now you people whine about getting a tag??? Give me a break. I don't think it's fair that the Admins have to read over 400 stories a day, delete a bunch of them read all the comments, delete a bunch of them and still have to worry about joe blow not having a tag. LOL! Grow up.  |

Yo Dude, Have you messaged Admin again at all? I know that I messaged Admin to request a tag a while ago, and I pretty much left it at that. It didn't concern me at all if the tag took a while in coming or never came at all. A good friend if mine messaged Admin a while ago to enquire if they had received an request from me, which did get a response back - which also explained that there is more to getting a tag than just lining up...there are a number of people who are assigned tags to make - some are quicker than others to make, so that would explain why people of differing numbers seem to get them faster than others. Also, some tags, depending on the colour etc take a FAIR while to create...a simple tag with basic colours might not take so long - me on the other hand, I put down Silver as one of my favourite colours...not thinking that Silver is actualy a pretty difficult color to master if you're not that skilled with it...hence I believe a more experienced 'tag maker' has been assigned the task of making one for me. So dude...message Admin and see A)If they received your request, and B) If there is a reason for the delay...there very probably is. But like I said...I'm really not that fussed either way - well, okay, I'll admit that if/when I get a tag will no doubt be totally buzzed, jump around and do the obligatory "Look at my tag" post...but it ain't gonna keep me from returning to USM if I remain tagless either. But the Admins aren't only the tag makers, heck, not all the admins make them. Call me names, call me childish, i don't care. ...When I first came here, the tags were scarce. I thought that they were personally made by the authors themselves. I didn't question anyone abbout getting a flashy name tag. I did respond at a later date (in jest) at what I would like my name tag to look like. People...this is not a box of cereal with a prize at the bottom. Eating 200 boxes of cereal does not always win you the grand prize trip. Try eating your cereal more slowly...chewing and swallowing, instead of jamming everything in and regurgitating. Patience is a virtue. Tags are a gift from the fine people that make this forum available to you. Your time will come...possibly sooner if you stop being a thorn.  |

I think some of you missed the author's point. He's not complaining because he hasn't got his tag yet. But because he was skipped over and left out due to favoritism. I think it should be a first come, first serve.Yes they say the tags are a gift for people who contribute to this site. Again I didn't even request it. I was in the chatroom one day and Sassy Annie was doing them. She did mine in about 10 minutes. I'm certainly not a favorite. PEACE |

I've been here since december, and I reguested my tag in february. Alot of people who requested their tags after me recieved their tags before me, but not once did I even think about complaining. Tags are not a right, they're a priviledge. Just be patient. You'll get yours...I just got mine today.  |
