Well...my best friend is deaf...and I knew her for nearly a year before I even found out. She can hear about 50% when she has her hearing aids in...and she can read lips..which I still think is amazing!! lol...she lives a very normal life....so I guess I'd say if I had to choose..I'd be deaf.... |

I would rather be deaf as I am 'fluent' (lol)in sign language. However, blind people can still 'read'. It's called brail, and it's not too hard to learn that either. And also, blind people can write, mostly best if with a typewrtier or computer though, as most keyboards have the bumps on the "F" and "J" keys to help guide a person typing. |

Definitely deaf. I rely so much on sight, and being blind is harder than being deaf (not that being deaf is easy!) because there are more things to rely on if you're deaf, like you said, sign language etc. I also love drawring and computering... no eyesight means all my favourite hobbies are gone ;_; |

I would rather be deaf becaus I know some sign language, and when you are just deaf you can still read, watch tv, drive, and I like drawing and I couldn't do that if I were blind. Although if you are blind you can have one of those seeing eye dogs. (<>..<> Alien |

for a week? Blind, This wouldn't really be anything new for me, being that I am by far legally blind without my glasses/contacts. I guess I'm the odd ball around here. But I was 'blind' for about a week after I had eye surgery and my eyes got infected, my dog although he isn't trained in being a guide dog, is very good at guiding me around, as he was my eyes for a week..... |

Deaf! An entire week of not hearing my ex's voice, or the kids screaming and banging about, oh bliss! I'm like you, I've gotta be able to read, I would die without my books! |

I'd pick deaf also. Vision is more important than hearing. you can learn sign language or just read whats wrote. With blindness nothing of that sort helps |
