Well, that girl was me! On mothers day I got together with my family. We all ate at AppleBees and afterwards went to Walmart. My mother, grandmother & Aunt insisted I sit in a wheelchair and be wheeled around because I am pregnant and my feet had swollen like elephants feet. I argued for 5 minutes because of my pride. I didn't want to be seen in a wheelchair but they were right about me needing to be off my feet so I gave in. I made my mother push me around since she was leading the command.
We kept noticing people staring out of the corner of their eyes. Some would take a second glance as they noticed the wheelchair and try to turn away quickly so as not to look so obvious. One little boys mouth dropped open because his mother almost rammed us with her cart. Back in the craft department my family spotted these cute dresses and wheeled me in front of a tree forgetting I couldn't see well from a wheelchair. It made me realize how people get treated that have handicaps. You get stared at like your alien and that really bothered me. So now I try to be careful when I see someone in a wheelchair or something. It was an experience I'll never forget.
