well im christian by my parents and im trying to become wiccan but i dont know how to tell my parents....ill proboably just be a broom closet witch....u dont know my family...before id get to explain theyd burn my stuff and they wouldnt even believe my story so im keeping quiet....i think it's just society..media..tv..shows...movies...and the salem witch trial and well that was casued by a drug..i have a story about that.....  |

I dislike Churches because they Pass Judments on people that they are supposed to be trying to help to be "Lead to God" Instead, they get angry with people because their Religions are different and "Attack" them because of their beliefs. I believe that My God would want me to lead others to church (If there was one that accepted me for who I am) by example and Love. Not by hate and Judgment. I also Dislike the fact that Everyone Gives you a look like you are an Outsider when you do step into a church and Don't even try to remember your name anymore. Wiccan Religion is More accepting to one another as individuals and Don't pass such a hard Judgment. People are more readly accepted for who they are as a Person. Perhaps, if Churchs and People stopped passing so much judgment and started leading others by example & Love instead of Harsh words they would have more Followers. **ShadowVixn**  |

I think this is true of lots of kids today. They want power and the supernatural. Problem is that they get all this with God and more but they think they have to follow all these man made rules of taste not, touch not do not. If they would take the time and read the bible and find out for themselves that God doesnt expect them to be perfect to give them all that He has, then maybe they would see the truth in it for them selves. Since coming to God, He has given every believer that believes in Jesus Christ, power and authority over satan and all his spirits. Now I would say that was supernatural to the greatest extreams. Many kids and or adults do not know that any spirits that magic or witches can conjure up, Christians through the name of Jesus Christ can get rid of them. By the power and the name of Jesus Christ I have did this and so has many other christians. Good post.  |

Hm...Your grandmother was Wiccan and practiced black magick? Nope. I don't think so. Anyways, why did I choose Wicca? NOT for power, NOT for rebellion or anything like that. Because It felt right. I feel so full and loving and loved by my Goddess and God its hard to even explain! I never felt that with Christianity. All I felt was people pressing me with rules and that I couldn't even worship the way I wanted without being ridiculed.  |

Great Post!!! I believe what you are saying Boom Boom. I deffinately believe in what FirstBorn is saying. There is a power beyond all else through Jesus Christ and whoever believes in Him can do great miracles through Him. He can make all the difference in your life. I do agree Boom Boom to each his own and that "Christians" should live thier lives so that others should desire to live like them and not be judgemental for they will be judged as they judge others. I am Wiccan. I have read the bible, and have been to church. I am Wiccan because it feels right to me. I do not practice black magick or put hexes or power spells on people. I use magick to make my life better, not to ruin another. I believe in Goddess and Mother Earth. There are so many other reasons why, but I don't think I have enough room to put it all. hmmm, Well, Satan was cast out of heaven because he wanted to "do his own thing". God is the boss. He can put guidelines for you to follow. Doing it your own way has never been an option as to knowing Him. Satan being the great deceiver can make you feel whatever he wants. Feeling right and being right are two different things. After all, when Satan got Eve to eat the apple, I know it FELT right to her or she wouldn't have eaten it. His deception to Adam & Eve was the same exact precept: (Gen 3:4-5)"And the serpent said to the woman,'You will not surely die. Sounds an awful lot like "Do what you want" or the practice of magick as to "being like God". It's the same deception, just worded slightly different. Okay I will vent now also... There is a huge difference between Black magic and Wicca. Don't blacken are name okay...We worship the Goddess and God..We believe in God but it is different then the Christian faith. NO DEVIL!!! The Bible was written by man first off and was rewrote a bunch of times by people I question if they new what they were doing. There is nothing evil about Wicca. Not to nit pick but you need your facts straight. I understand you were stating the relations your grandmother had but that has nothing to do with Wicca. I believe in Jesus and I believe he heals. I do have a relationship with him and I don't need anyone or a Bible to tell me what to have with him. As for children, teens whatever wanting to convert cause of their parents come on..Just because their parents path is not what is good for their path makes nothing wrong. Wicca is about love and sending out what you want back and respecting mother Earth. Celebrating the seasons. How evil of someone to do that. I became Wiccan when I was 12 years old. Nobody had even told me about the religion..I found it and it felt right. I have been happy ever since. I got sick of pastors telling me how to have a relationship with God and how to live my life. As for the Bible saying Witches are evil or bad LOL I think that is just rotton. What is so wrong is half the people who were hanged and burned weren't even Witches they were people cheating on their partner, people wanting to steal someones land, and alot Christian being accused of Witchcraft. Now that is pretty nasty. Witches went underground to keep their beliefs and worship the Goddess and God and nature. They were practicing their own faith not bothering anyone. A drug caused the hysteria. Now how crazy is that? Then when christians were trying to force their religion on pagans they took in pagan holidays such as X-mas, Easter, Halloween ect.. What do you think Santa and Jesus being born have in common?? Or the rebirth of Chirst and a Easter Bunny or Easter Lily??all pagan.. To try to convert pagans. Hmm makes me wonder. Jesus is love.. NOT JUDGEMENT, NOT HATE,..HE IS A LOVER AND HEALER! Christianty is not the only religion and wasn't the first! I didn't not become pagan/Wiccan to do spells, Which I think I may have done 2 spells in the years I have been pagan and they were to promote spiritual love. I don't believe I have more power then anyone and care not to be the powerful one. That is not what paganism/Wicca is. Yes I disagree with the Bible is was written by man. I have no problem with Jesus. I am not trying to start a fight but myself as a pagan/Wiccan I have a right to state that here. I am happy your grandmother is happy in her spiritual path now.
