TRUE STORY,BELIEVE IT OR NOT..I HAVE A CHAIN FROM THE TITANTIC ......

OK, I was in "shock" yesterday when I finally saw the "chain" my husband told me came from the Titanic. It is huge! And old.I alway's knew since we were married four year's ago,the chain existed.Yesterday I saw it.Amazed is the word I am looking for.And yes, fascinating. It look's like the chain on the deck in the movie. The home we live in,used to be owned by an old man. Before he was put in a nursing home,by his family,he told my husband he wanted him to have it.My husband told me today ,that the old man used to love everything about ship's and had all kind's of antique's he left behind. My husband got rid of those other thing's.It is really hard to say what he took to the junkyard.I couldn't believe this. But after seeing it,I know.My life has alway's been strange and unusual. I hope you Titanic lover's enjoyed this story.I am going to try to auction it. All replie's good or bad welcome. Sincerely,Mrs. Lee

How it changed my life:

I've had a strange one anyway. But I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Date: 6/24/2001 10:34:00 AM  From Authorid: 34341    Don't really want to rain on your parade, but who would, while a ship was sinking, keep a chain? It must weigh a lot...how would they "rescue" it whle the ship was going down? No one tried to salvage anything until the Ballard expedition, almost ten years ago....<glock>
