Its my interest in the title that does it for me. thats why half the time, I am the first replier and the other half, I am the last or in the middle. So for me it is purely interest!! : ) |

oh my gosh! just a few mins ago i was thinking of posting the EXACT same question! except i was at a diff site at the time and was gonna do it when i came back lol. Anyway, yea, I go and read a story based on it's title, but if i noticed it has a whole bunch of replies(like, 20 or more), i usually don't reply cuz most likely what i've wanted to say has already been said. ^H^ |

It's the title; the subject matter, that first catches my eye. Sometimes if it is a subject that has been done many times, I won't bother, like abortion, gun control, etc. If I click on a story and it is all CAPS, or lots of misspelled words, or is extremely long (copy & paste jobs), I don't bother replying. The title, content, subject and author. The length of the post isn't an issue with me, but the construction of the subject is - I don't have the patience when it comes to an on going amount of mis-spelled words, nor does the amount of replies play a part in my choice of what post I read or respond to. |

I read the titles first, choose one that's intresting to me, glance at the number of comments, then read it, anyway. :) Sometimes, though, if there are over 30 or 40 comments, especially around 100, and I catch that, usually scrolling back up to change pages, I'll read it to see what the fuss is about ;) |

I like your idea of clicking on the zero posts. Many a good poem has been left unread! |
