About 2 weeks ago I had sent my cap'n'gown grad pic to my aunt & uncle in France. I was talking to that same uncle on the phone the other day, and he told me that when my 3 yr old cousin saw the pic, the first thing out of his mouth was "why does she have a foot stool on her head?" lol. They told me that in France they don't have all the celebrations and prom and stuff that we have here in North America. So a north american grad cap is a foot stool to a 3 yr old boy from France. I thought it was cute lol ^H^
