What consenting adults do behind closed doors is no-one elses business. It really irks me that people think it is their business. So what! Society should just get on with it, and respect people for who they are, not their sexuality. Grrrr, this is a touchy subject for me. I shall finish off here. ~Aussie Girl |

Hey, whatever turns their crank. The only thing that bothers me is when they go out of their way to announce their gayness...what makes them think anyone else cares? I sure don't! <glock> |

I am against homosexuality, but not necessarily against them each as individuals. Just like everyone else in the world, some are bad, some are good. Some of them really make me uncomfortable and I can't stand them, but others have been good friends. So I am anti-homosexuality, but not against them as individuals. They're entitled to the same rights as everyone else. |

No, I am not gay, but, yes they do have the same rights. How would someone feel if they were told they were bad for likeing the color red? PPL are PPL. You have to love to be loved. Accept everyone, right or wrong...you might learn something. Of course...Cereal Killers are the acception...hehehe...Tx.Tornado |

Hmm very contraversial I have nothing against homosexuals and I think it is disgusting when people make comments about homosexuality..I am not homosexual myself but my best friend is..and if anyone has a problem with it they just dont have to talk to me..(i mean like people in school) I dont care what other people think..and im sick and tired of people disliking other people because of there sexual preference.
I totally agree Aussie Girl....you go girl:) |

I would never be against someone because of their sexual preferance - what they do is their buisness not mine. I have a few guy friends that are openly gay - that i was friends with before and after they came out. I feel just as comfortable with them now as I did when they werent out yet. I also am friends with a girl that is a lesbian but im not as comfortable with her - mostly because she pushes her sexuality on to me. it makes me uncomfortable at times but shes still the same person so it doesnt really matter. But gay people do get treated unfairly - especially in high school - more then anything they are targeted at someone can use as a scapegoat, and i dont think its right - but it will almost always happen bc there are always going to be some ignorant people that have to make a rude comment or just disapprove of the way they choose to live their lives. - maggy |

1. Really, I think most people who walk this earth don't give gay people respect because they seem to be "weird" and unnatural, although they are human beings. However, as human beings, they should be gie the same rights as others.
2. Yes, I think we treat them unfairly, read the reasons above.
3. Many people just choose to ignore these people and not care about them becuase they think that they will be classified as "gay" or "lesbian" if they do. Unfortunately, most of us are like that.
4. No, we all have rights and it's their right do do that so long as they on't expose anything.
5. I dunno, I dun have one like that, until have a friend like that, I will never know, I am heterosexual.
6. Yes |

I think everyone deserves respect no matter what their sexual perference is. I give respect to all until something happens that makes me lose the respect. I think that all kinds of people get treated unfair. I don't like seeing anyone make out in public. Straight or gay. I have female friends that are gay and bi. I don't feel weird around them at all. They deserve that same rights as all people do. |

I believe they should have every right anyone else does. Life is harder for them because they have to worry about their parents hating them. They cannot help being gay, it comes naturally, nor should they feel they need to help it. It's not a sin, God loves everyone, all his children. You shouldn't feel any different around them than anyone else. Don't let stereotypes fools you either, not every gay guy acts like a girl, I know a gay guy that you couldn't tell was gay if you tryed. Be kind, everyone sins in some way, and everyone in different. Blessed be! ~* Uisce *~ |

My answers to your statements/questions in order. 1) Neither am I. 2) Yes, sometimes it is. 3) We don't give people in general enough respect. 4) Yes, they are treated unfairly by some people/organizations. Everyone is. 5) Yes, I care. 6) Disgusted? No. However, public is not the place to fondle and the such. Whether it's a hetero-sexual couple or a homo-sexual couple. If your talking about holding hands or a quick good-bye kiss I have no problem with that with either type of couple. 7) No. 8) Yes ~Jetamio~ |

Do you think we don't give these people respect? Yes, I think that gays and lesbians should be treated with alot more respect than they are currently getting. Do you think we treat them unfair? Partially. Take modern music for example. F*g this and f*g that! I think that is unfair treatment if you ask me. (Don't get me wrong.. I love Eminem and all!!) Do you not care? I care, but to an extent. I'm not gay. I have no gay relatives, but I do have someone close to me who is gay. Are you disguisted to walk down the street see them kissing and get all disturbed? No, (controlled) public displays of affection are a beautiful thing regardless of sexual preferance.
Do you feel weird having a friend the same sex as you who is gay or a lesbian? Not at all. I do have someone close to me who is a lesbian and it really doesn't bother me.
Do Gay and Lesbians have rights just as fair as we do? |
