The Haunted Apartment 821 Gulf Blvd. Indian Rocks Beach, Fl. 33785 This house is always occupied, and always cared for. It started in November, 1994. When my husband decided we would move into a triplex on the beach and rent out the other two apartments. We took the smallest apartment that needed more work than the rest. That way we could finish the work and not loose any income. For three years we worked on that apartment. The worst times were when I would use cast iron. My first meal was to be pot roast in a cast iron skillet. I cut the carrots and potatoes, put all the stuff in the pot and set it on the stove.[electric stove 220w] I turned it on and turned around to get something out of the refrigerator. I heard a thump behind me and felt the wet. The pot with all the meat and carrots and celery and onions and potatoes, had some how gotten from the stove top to the door, than slammed its self onto the floor. Now that is a distance, this is a long narrow room. The meal was not disturbed it was still in the pot sitting up right. I told my hu! sband and he just brushed it off. After that the lights kept going out, but the next day they would be fine.[this is only in the kitchen] I assumed it was just a short, so I replaced the lights. When I opened up the old lights the wires were disconnected. Well I found my short. I thought. The new lights began to do the same thing. I opened them up, and the wires were discounted. I fixed it. The next day. It happened again. This was daily till one day it didn't happen. I started paying attention to what was going on during the days when it did or didn't happen. On the days it did happen someone had either used cast iron in the kitchen or my husband had spent time cussing at something in the kitchen. I made him stop cussing in the kitchen. Not stop cussing but stop in the kitchen. He didn't like it at all, but he would go into the bed room or living room to do it. To show his disapproval he would cuss like no sailor could. When this worked I was afraid it might be him as the sou! rce. One night wile he was gone I went into the kitchen. I sat back and relaxed, I softly started using profanity. No anger or emotion, just words. The lights began to flicker and I started feeling something pushing me. Okay so now I know its not my husband. Christmas The apartment is to small for a real Christmas tree. So I have a 2ft tree and tiny clear flashing lights, 150 three 50 light strings, this makes the tree look bigger at night. December,22 I was sitting up late. I turned off the TV and was going to just sit there for a wile. A image was showing in the black of the screen, I turned to see where it was. The tree was on a table next to the kitchen door, and standing at the kitchen door looking at my tree with a smile of approval was a real life ghost. She was a shinny blackish/brown with no hair, no eye brows, as if she had been roasted. She was so pleased with the Christmas tree, she stayed there for hours. We Moved We moved into the better apartment and leased the small back apartment to a 34 year old guy. To finish the work that was left we gave him a large break on a years lease. I told him the apartment was haunted and he shouldn\'92t make any large changes. Well he laughed about it and thought I should see a doctor. He began the work using the kitchen as a storage room for his tools and paints. I told him so. To deal with it he would sleep in the living room with the TV turned up loud. One night he fell asleep with the TV so loud you could here it 2 blocks away. I had no choice but to go over there, he couldn't hear the phone over the TV. I banged on the door for five min as hard as I could. Finely he opened it half asleep he agreed to turn down the TV, but he never turned it off and he never slept in the bed room, or with the lights off. Well the big man that found the idea so funny broke his lease and moved in only 3 months. My husband wasn't feeling well so I had to go paint the w! alls. The Next One The next person that moved in lasted one month on a years lease. To bad he was a nice guy over 50 years old. Also evertime someone moves they never take anything from the kitchen. Anything they put in the kitchen they leave there when they move. The kitchen has been left fully stocked everytime,and even a pair of leather boots was left in the kitchen. Haunted Houses Well with a ghost in the apartment I would like to close it up, but houses still cost money. To pay the bills on this apartment I need to rent it. People tend to be able to stay there very happy for a month or two. So anyone is invited to rent this apartment by the day, week, or month at a Maximum of 8 weeks. It has most everything you need to make it a great vacation and find out what it feels like to be near a real ghost. You can test this ghost as much as you like but like me and you it is there for a reason, so please don't try you skills at banishing it. It has been helpful as well as troublesome. I wouldn't advise you stay there alone, and it seems to have a more response to men, but almost always it sounds like someone is in the kitchen all night long. How it changed my life:I nolonger try to lease this apartment to anyone at any price. I put a limit on the amount of time someone can stay. I will not rent that apartment to a female alone. If someone has childern, I make it clear they should not let them in the kitchen. I myself clean a lot less over there.
