Why do you need to lose 30lbs in a month?? Trust me, I have battled my weight for a long time..and you can't really lose it until you're ready to change yourself. And if you do find your mirical diet and you lose 30lbs in one month...you will gain it back. I'm not trying to be mean about it or anything..but diets don't work. If you want to lose weight you have to be gradual and you have to change your lifestyle..they way you eat and the way you think about eating. There's no point in rushing yourself...in the end you'll be happier if you take your time. Trust me. ~CaseyGirlie |

Okay *holds tongue* My uncle went on an 1,100 calorie a day diet and went from about 260 to 190 over a 3 month period. Just watch what you eat and exercise! :) |

Eat an all fruit diet for a month. I took off sixty pounds in three months when I became a vegetarian. I also went on long walks for over two hours a day. Your legs are your largest muscle group, and will burn the most calories. I lost sixty pounds over a year ago, and have kept it off. That's the key, not gaining it back. ->Bearclaw<- |

I have always been told that if you loose weight to fast it will just creep back on you..I took the med Redux beginning in Dec 1996..I lost 60 lbs by Feb 1997 and I felt great..Than by Dec of 98 I noticed that it very slowly started coming back..At the end of this I had gained every pound back and then some..I am now loosing it slowly by eating and exercising right, hopefully this time by changing my personal habits it will stay off..Wishing you luck and good health . |

Well, it depends on what kind of weight you want to lose. It's physically impossible to lose more than 3 lbs. of fat a week . . . so, you could lose 12 lbs of fat (assuming you have 12lbs of fat to lose), if you're really strict on a diet, and really lucky. After that, all that's left to lose is water and muscle mass. You could take a diuretic (reduces water retention by making you have to urinate every 15 minutes) and a metabolism booster like MetaboBurn or Metabolife. But be aware that diruetics are hard on the kidneys and can cause severe damage. MetaboLife and the like contain Ephedra - an herbal amphetamine. Since 1996, more than 60 people have died and hundreds more have suffered strokes and heart-valve problems (basically, it's the herbal form of the stuff in Fen Fen that caused people to develop heart valve problems)as a result of taking Ephedra. Also - men lose weight faster than women. It's sad, but true. So, if the people you know who've lost 30lbs in 30 days are men, well, that's why they were able to do that. The only way I know of to safely lose 30 lbs in a month is with Gastric Bypass surgery - but you have to be at least 100lbs overweight, and have about $15,000 to spend. |
