Tombstone Territory had its own strange history. That's for sure. However, the modern day residents didn't really have the interest or the time to pay much attention to folklore.
Except for one young women that is! Her name was Julianna. Julianna Jerrold!
Her great grandfather had made sure his future children and grandchildren would know the truth about Tombstone Territory. Julianna was one of Jerrold's great granddaughter's. Jerrold's son Kale was her grandfather. From as long as Julianna could remember her grandfather had warned her about the strange happenings which would occure whenever the nights produced fog.
''Stay home when it's foggy.'' Her grandfather would tell her.''No matter what, stay home and keep your doors and windows locked.
Julianna, only a youngster, would curl up on her grandfather's lap. ''Why Grandaddy? Why?'' She always received the same answer. A mysterious,''Just trust me Honey! Stay home!''
Well, Julianna took his message to heart. So much that when she went into labor with her only child, a son, Julianna would not let her husband take her to the nearby hospital. A foggy night in late January, she gave birth at home.
That was twelve years ago. Julianna was now telling the story to her own son, Forrester.''But why Mom?'' he would ask. ''Why?''
Forrester was much too big of a boy to hold on her lap. However, she would snuggle up with him on the sofa, in front of the warm glow from the fireplace, trying to remember the details of 'WHY?'
Forrester would listen with renewed interest each time his Mother told him the haunting story..........
