im a single mother with three daughters ages 14, 10 and 7. My 10 year old was born with Down Syndrome. Its always been hard taking care of her, because for a a long time doctors thought she had ADHD (attention deficit hyperactive disorder) Anyways I could not find a suitable after school care. It seemed as if no one knew how care of children with special needs. One day when just when I thought I had finally found a day care for my daughter, my hopes were shattered when after a a week the director called me at work to tell me that they could not care for my daughter she was very hard to handle and their staff was not educated enough. I got upset because after searching and becoming impatient, I thought finally someone was going to give me a hand. I couldn't take it anymore that I got up went into the rest room and literally yelled at GOD for giving me a child with special needs. I yelled telling what had I done so bad that things instead of getting better were always getting worst. My life had always been rough. And now this. After awhile of crying in despair I cleaned up my face and as I sat down the phone rang. It was my daughter's school teacher. The first thing she she was Ruby I know your having a hard time finding after school care, but have you tried Extend a care for kids. She gave me the number and Renee just loved her knew day care, and Gina her day care teacher was just great with her. I know now that God is out there and He knows what we need. Other things have happened to me that tell me He's listening and will make everything better. I just now that when I yelled at Him, he was probably busy with someone who needed him a little more than I did. And I know that if He gave me a special baby was because He thinks Im special enough to have my special daughter. How it changed my life:I have always been a God fearing person. And sometimes ive thought things just couldn't get any worst and they have, but God has shown me through little miracles that everythings going to get better no matter who rough things get.
