Wow. Ali..wish I had your problem! Really, I am pretty short..I am about 5'3..so almost everyone is taller than me, but..everyone knows I am an odd duck, but I find I have no concept whatsoever with height..I must have horrible spatial intellegence because whenever I am talking to anyone, I always feel I am the same height as them..whether they are as shor as me, or if they a 6 feet tall..I think, overall, my trend has been to be attracted to shorter men, though, as a whole..it just seems to work out that way..  |

They don't feel manly near you...I know because I am the same as you 5'8 and I love big shoes also..my ex was exactly 5'8 as well and would throw a fit when I would wear my tall boots for example because it made him feel insecure like to others he felt it looked like I would have to protect him if anything should happen...lol, I think its sad!  |

This is comming from a person how has been short and small...I am cofortable with who i am and my phyiscal size...sure i have had to prove myself more than others especially in sports...so that may be where the second response you were talking about comes from...but i have never been intimidated by other size...but i dont go around feeling i have something to prove...Im only 5'4"...I think its a shame that because of bad past experiences you are excluding us from the dating pool...people should be judged on who they are ...not size...and besides havent you heard the expression...Dynomite comes in small packages...LOL LUCK OF THE IRISH  |

I have noticed this as well. I am 5'8'' and I habe met a few guys who have decided they did not like me all because of my height. But really what can you do it isn't my fault and honestly I don't think of myself as being very tall. For a girl maybe but over all naw. I think the guys who are short just need to get better self esteem or something.  |

Ali, hmm...I am 5'10" and I love being tall...no matter what looks I get. I attract short guys and tall guys...most of them don't really seem to care to tell you the truth. Sometimes it bothers me, but more than half of 'em haven't stopped growing yet so....lol, I dunno, that's a good question. I just know that when I walk into a room people tend to stare at me and I think it's b/c of my height. Lol, I like my height. I guess it's just the opposite...I get attention, I don't think I've ever been treated poorly b/c of it. I'm sorry...I don't think I've helped you much. Those guys you say that try to act all macho sound like they have an ego problem.

I see this is an older post-- I noticed it on the "recently replied to list" So I will answer anyways :P I am a little over 5'10" My husband swears that I am taller than that-- I think it's because we are the same height and he refuses to admitt that he is under six feet tall... Anyways, before he and I were going out, I actually went out with several guys that were shorter than me. For a while that is all that was asking me out-- it was the weirdest thing.
