It was the winter of 1985, november. I was just arriving at my girlfriends house, I had a real bad day arguing with my parents, i just needed some comfort from my girlfriend, so i walked in and there she was on another guys lap' I was so hurt I just barged out the door and just walked away,this all happen in the city of Bangor, Maine, I was just so tired of life at that moment i care not to speak to anyone, I just wanted to die..... my girlfriend started to follow me and so her sister, the last thing I needed was a breakup with her, I just got out of the hospital from being under alot of stress and now all this happen to me. so I started to head to brewer, Maine. there was this bridge that connected both towns, called the jausua chamberlain bridge, well I care not to live anylonger so I continued to the center of the bridge and stepped over to the side of the bridge prepairing to jump' Than the next thing that had happened to me was totally wierd, I jumped, but Also at the time i had jump I had seen myself down on the ice with blood splattered everywhere,and it was like seeing myself dead before it actually happened,than the next thing I know i see this real bright light above me and i hear a voice telling me sir, sir, are you ok, what is your name you are ok now son, It was a police officer who had grabbed me as i just jumped, i was lying on the snowy ground, this all happen during the evening around nine . well the next thing i know i was living, weeks later i tried to find this officer, but no officer had delt with this case....... i was surely confused..... this is very confusing to me and it dearly bothers me today. sincerely r.gauthier How it changed my life:well I never was suicidal ever since this happening and it made me realize that life is worth the living for...
