In the early 1970's, I was a lonely, lost child, at the age of 13, living on the streets of Pittsfield, Ma. A man by the name of Edwards Reynolds took me under his wing and pulled me away from the sexual aspects of the streets. He showed me love of friendship and plays a big part of my life today. I would love to find him and thank him for his support. My biological parents killed my sister, via starvation, in 1963. After two or more years of suffering, my sister died on November 22, 1963, just after president Kennedy's murder. After spending years in foster homes, I was placed in a home for approx. four years and taken away from them just one week before Christmas in 1969. The State placed me in an institution for three years, and the end result was 'being reunited with the family.' What it comes to is, the State of New York gave my parents another chance to kill another child when they returned me to my biological parents. Edward Reynolds tried to protect me when I lived on the streets and allowed men to take advantage of me at the age of a young teen, trying to survive. He was a kind, sweet, gentle man. At the time, he was about 28-years old. He roomed with two other men, Fred and Tom in Pittsfield , Mass. To describe his appearance, would be to say he looked liked 'Grizzly Adams.' He was sort of blone, with a full beard. He had a sister, who also lived in Pittsfield at the time, by the name of Alice. Alice had three girls of her own around the age of 10. I owe much of my life to this man and have tried to find him for years. I would be so gratful if you could help me find him. I'd love for him to meet my husband and daughter. Whether you can help me or not, your show has brought tears to my eyes when I see lost loves reunited. I can only hope you can help me too. Thank you, Mrs. Karen E. Deyo Why we are looking for them:Eddy gave me strength. He always told me how wonderful I was and now that I am an adult, I see the love he carried for me so many years ago as he tried to help a young, lonely, abused child find love for herself. I just want the chance to thank him for all he has done. Now, I am able to fight child abuse for other children, and I just want him to know how much I love him for what he has done; not only for me, but for the many children I may help in the future.
