Bridal Showers - BECKY   Author:  12876  Category:(Household) Created:(8/25/2001 2:50:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (900 times) Want to give a bridal shower that is a tad bit different,add humor,carry on to the reception,at the door or the shower pass out little envelopes to the ones who plan to attend the wedding,ask they wait til later to open them,inside place a note(do not give the bride one)that says at reception you will be asked to give the groom back his keys,at reception after the wedding stand up and say I'd like to make a toast,oh first off there is a matter to be settled,would all you ladies who have keys to his apartment or house kindly bring them back and give them to him since he is married now,it gets a laugh of course talk to the best man so when this is announced he can do the same thing,but anyway,for decorations,hang around the tables small inexpensive Xmas ornaments,measuring spoons,small kitchen itens others don;t think of buying as this is her gift from you,A wastpaper can with a cute note to it saying for cards can also be used later,GAMES< see how many names can be made from the brides name both first and last if it is short,give them five to ten minutes, gifts can be given for the top three such as potholders,hand towell, spatula set,salt and pepper shakers,or even potted plants,SECOND GAME, get a trash can,and the following items,set the trash can down and say ok first before we hand out paper and pen we are going to see how good your memory is,do not name the trash cvan,you will be amazed how many will fail to write it as a household item,name the items off place in the can,measuring cups,measuring spoons, potholder,book matches,clothespin,wash clothe,small bottle dish soap,toothbrush,spatula,large fork,toothpicks,bar of soap,salt and pepper shakers,spoon rest,soup ladle,doiley,toilet brush,bottle opener,any small items you can use in kitchen as the bride to be gets to keep all and it may be more welcomed then larger gifts,they will love these games,for an added touch,hand out little recipe cards and ask each guest to write down a recipe for her they enjoy making, You can join Unsolved Mysteries and post your own mysteries or interesting stories for the world to read and respond to Click here Scroll all the way down to read replies.
