**Should he have swept?**

We have a new neighbor and today he was mowing his grass with his lawnmower.

When I came back,I saw a lot of grass everywhere in our driveway and dirt, too from his lawn mower. He was still cutting his grass and later he finished and went inside his house.

I was wondering,in a situation like this, should he have swept the grass remains and dirt he left in our driveway from his lawn mower or was it our responsiblity to clean up the grass remains in the driveway from him?

Date: 10/5/2001 10:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 39258    he should clean it up... maybe he didn't notice.. i mean, if he does it on purpose, id get mad, but if he doesn't realize it... i wouldnt make a big deal out of it... id just sweep it back to his side.. it takes 3 minutes -telsha
Date: 10/5/2001 10:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 277    He should have cleaned it up. I would ask him if he had any intentions on doing it. If he says no, tell him he needs to clean it up. If he doesn't then contact the homeowners association in your neighborhood. They'll take care of it. I'm sure he'll clean it is asked though.
Date: 10/5/2001 10:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 36635    I think that he should have swept it. It would be the polite thing to do. But he probably didn't notice it. If he notices it and doesn't do anything then maybe you should ask him to sweep it. :)

Date: 10/6/2001 2:17:00 AM  From Authorid: 30229    Yep, the neighbor should clean it up... I paid extra on my lawnmower to have one of those "catchers" on it, so I do NOT strow grass and stuff on anything, either mine or my neighbors... It makes life a lot easier... :)
Date: 10/6/2001 7:34:00 AM  From Authorid: 35510    If it wasn't that much, then I don't think that would require him sweeping it up,but if theres alot on it,then you should tell him to
