Nope, never heard of it! If it is true, I hope it is just an inner ear infection! Have a nice day! |

I've never heard of a doctor telling a patient something as blunt as...we have to check for a brain tumor. They don't usually want to scare the patient needlessly like that. Your doctor sucks. Hope you feel better hon. *hugs* |

Noooooooooooo...Your doctor might not have you on the right antibiotic for your ear infection..Is your doctor a ear nose and throat doctor? Before going through a cat scan I would get another doctor to look at it..This happened to me..I was going to my regular family doctor for an ear infection and he was giving me the wrong medication.... |

Meclizine is used for vertogo, or dizziness, sometimes a problem with the inner ear can cause this, but an antibiotic would be used for an ear infection, as a nurse I am able to look in an ear and tell if it is infected or not, so a doctor sure should be able. I suggest you see a specialist. ENT, or Ear, nose and throat, without seeing a person and knowing the all the symptoms it would be hard to know exactly what the problem is, but infections require antibiotics almost all the time, without one, the infection could cause other problems, but a Doctor should know an ear infection |

Meclizine will cause the sleepiness, but another thought I had, because I have had this is, Meniere's Disease. Causes dizziness, nausea and vomiting. It is horrible to experience the nausea and vomiting, it can be very severe. Usually caused by a build up of fluid in the ear, maybe from an untreated ear infection, or it can come suddenly, which is what happened to me, ask your doctor or again see a specialist. |

Also limit salt intake, especially right now, helps prevent water buildup any where in the body. |
