Just read my profile Stargazer, I have a little of everything. Sorry no T/A's though. I had one in high school. It was a 1978 "Bandit" edition. The paint was a little rough, so we had it painted Pontiac Forest Green, and had the bird put back on in gold. It was a very nice car, It had the new style gold Centerline wheels on it, and a little bottle of laughing gas in the trunk! |

Fiero, that I've gotten to 104MPH pre-current work. What I am working on doing is bringing up the horsepower from 91HP to 250HP by doing an engine conversion(from the old Iron Duke 4-cyl) to the 3800 series II supercharged engine. I've got some of the work done on it now. :)  |

*Sigh* more car talk....I'll never understand it...only reason I knew about my engine was because it was broke! BROKE! running on 3 cylinders! mechanics had it for a WEEK! *had to order the part directly from nissan* ha, I missed my car....I was so humiliated needing a ride from my mother! good lord! let's just say the mechanic dudes....well they laughed at me! when we went to pick it up I ran out of the car ran to mine and hugged it....lol ahhhh I love my car...lol |

Nope, the old Quadrajet went out on me. I couldn't find another one so I got a Holley 750 dual line, on a Holley intake. When I sold it, I got $9,500 for it! It was so nice it could have won awards. |

LMAO! it was soooo bad that week i needed rides everywhere....YOU KNOW THE BAD THING?!?!? my father GAVE me a key to his car which is a Stanza *Another nissan* so I could borrow it if I needed to because of MY car being in the shop ect....MOM at the time didn't work...I won't drive her car too huge......So I tell dad, you knwo why don't you take mom's car for the week, and I'll use yours....you think he would budge to make it convienent for everyone? NOOOOOOOO! lol *Sigh* what a pain in the butt! why the heck did he give me my own key to his car if he never let's me use it when I need a car? LOL! |

So may I ask, what kinds of other upgrades can be done to a Fiero if anybody knows? I've been looking... I pretty much decided to stay away from the 350 small blocks as they were not designed to be a transaxle engine... I could have gotten a kit for one... and the v-8 archie kit for my car... but decided against it... read too many problems regarding that. |

Here are some of the ideas I have to do with it. It is an 84 Fiero. I want to put a 5spd Muncie-Getrag tranny on it(not the Isuzu 5spd, I hear it makes a good door stop), plus find a small way to eventually up the HP on the new engine(probably a small piston upgrade, maybe higher compression ratio), but there is a few others things also... I just figure those are the main things in the short run. |

Yo SG, Oh man...I missed this...but I have a GOOD excuse: My bro and I were watching TV, a race called Bathurst 1000 was on...lotsa big nasty dirty V8s fanging it around an Australian race track for 8 hours!!!! YEAH!!! Ahhh...do I have to race? I mean, I have NO experience at all *hides multiple Rally/Club Racing/Drag Racing awards and trophies* Oh well...if I must...but what does this button next to my gearknob do? It says 'NOS'? And whats that big blue bottle sitting in the trunk? Hahahaha! Yeah baby...wind up the boost, flick that computer to race, prime the nitrous and fry all four wheels up! *its a 4WD turbo* Really need to be playing Deep Purples 'Highway Star' as well. ...oh, and have you seen that movie 'Fast and the Furious'? I am planning on seeing that soon...seeing as how it only JUST came out here this week. Did ya know that nitrous oxide sales went up 600% following that movie...argggh...hope that don't happen around here...as its hard enough now to find places to fill my bottle without a whole bunch of new racers getting in on the act. Thought I'd tell ya a bit about a Street Racing Group that we have around here...called Team Midnight...its a group of guys who get together and organise the Midnight drag racing scene in the city. Yes, it is illegal street racing...but hey, I (and most others) also race on the track as well. There are some REAL phat rides that come outa the woodwork when night falls. Some of the best rides are owned by a group of young Asian university students...just totally mindblowing rides with a ton of money spent on them. There are the usual collection of exotics like ya Porsches and Ferraris and the odd Lambo...but most of their rides are hightech Jap turboes. All custom painted, big body kits, huge alloys and super modified motors. Some people don't pay much mind to a Jap turbo...but thats a big mistake to make...sure, big capacity V8s can crank out some huge horsepower...but multi-cammed, multi-turboed motors make up for the relative lack of size. If the V8 ain't worked then its going down to something that is often less that half its size. Like a Nissan Skyline GTR that is fanging around at the moment. Its been bored out to a 3.2 litre 'straight six'...but cranks out an astounding 1100 horse with a shot of nitrous. And thats in a resonably light 4WD coupe...so its acceleration is simply amazing. Theres also a 900hp Toyota Supra RZ, a crazy as 600hp Mazda RX-7 'Batman'...a ton of 400-500hp Subie WRXs and Mitzi Lancer EVOs. Most of the racing in that set is done for BIG bucks...or ownership of the cars themselves. I even heard of one race where one of these dude bet his Water Front Apartment...and lost it...over 2 million worth of property! Gees! I'll just stick to the low end of the races and pick up a few hundred bucks caning all the new entrants. Pretty big gatherings too...sometimes literally 100s of cars will gather and hang out, and from there head off to the 'racing strips' out in the industrial areas. Yeah, yeah...I know it ain't legal...but I love the scene man, just chilling out and checking out all the phat street machines. |
