My name is Beverly Jean Hockenberry, maiden name Huston. I have been searching for my brother, Stephen Robert Huston, for over 38 years. He was born March 31, 1951 in Covington, Kentucky to Norma Mae Moore Huston and Robert William Huston. Both of our parents are deceased; our mom just recently died on October 29, 1997. My brother and I were separated at a very young age, and he was adopted by a family who lived in either Louisville, KY or Lexington, KY. Not sure. The agency that the adoption went through was a Catholic Agency in Covington, Ky; the lady who was the caseworker her name is: Mrs. Moser She has long since died as well. I have tried to get the court records opened so I could find my brother and restore our family after all these years. Stephen Robert Huston is the only boy in our family; I and he have two older sisters. Patricia Huston and Sandy Huston. It was nothing we did to cause our family to be ripped apart. Yet, we have been denied access to the records to know our brother's adoptive name. Please, if you read this story, and you can help us, contact us and let us know. I am married and living in Colorado. God bless you and thank you! How it changed my life:I and my sisters have suffered the loss of our brother, and for me, personally, it was devasting as I lost him when I was in a nursery and he was taken away from me at night. We have wondered all these years is he alive? I went through months of anguish during the Vietnam War area. I searched the missing in action and killed in battle lists for any one born on his birthdate. I searched, hoping to find his name; yet, also hoping not to find it.
