Carmex maybe might help.My boyfriend gets them,which is odd,because I don't get them!!This leads to me think other wise,lol,I don't know he gets cold sores,but,he does.I tell him to use Carmex on it.  |

I used carmex the first day to help the healing process..The next day,I made a paste of baking soda and put it on the cold sores with a Q-tip often during the day and at bedtime..The next morning,I used carmex again and believe it or not,I wiped the cold sores with tissue and most of the "scabs" disappeared..There was a trace of "scabs" left and I put carmex on those and wiped them off..I have never found anything that works as well as this..Good luck  |

Okay, what iam about to tell you may sound a little bit scary but TRUST this works. At the first sign of a cold sore (as it first begins to emerge) get a cotton tip, dip it in Metholated Spirits and dab ONLY THE COLD SORE head. Do NOT rub it on your lips or the surrounding areas of the cold sore. Do this every half hour or so. When you wake up the next day it'll be gone. The metho just dries the cold sore out before it gets a chance to grow and become a big, puss mess. YUCK!!!! .....  |

BLISTEX! it works for me...then agen i would put it on every second of the day!!But my friends mom told me that you can buy sum vitimn that if you take like everyday you wont get cold sores. i'll find out wut its called and post it for ya! .Sweet Buttafly.  |

Campho Phinique(sp)....it works wonders, you can get it at walmart, k-mart, any pharmacy....it burns like crazy, but it works  |
