I can't see the blackening clouds,
but I can smell the rain.

lips catch drops of pain.

electricity in the air.
Shadowy lies illuminated
in the flash of your stare.

Tiny birds seek shelter
as the rains begin.
I can't hear your words
amidst the rain and roar.
Startled by the thunder clap
as you closed the door.
I smiled when you came back in,
you began to cry.
Tiny birds stretch and twitch,
trying to get dry.
I can see the storm clouds part
as we stand face to face.
Smiling eyes and loving hearts
beneath the sun's embrace.
Waves of passion pouring down,
nothing left to say.
