I back our military and our President. This is not a war of our making, we were attacked. Bin Laden has PUBLICLY admitted his guilt. If he is not stopped who knows how many more Sept. 11th's will occur all due to his tyranny and oppression. The Taliban KNOWINGLY harbor and CONTINUE to harbor this terrorist and his cell, they are as guilty as Bin Laden himself. I, for one would rather DIE FOR THE FREEDOM MY GRANDFATHER WHO FOUGHT IN WWII FOUGHT SO HARD TO PRESERVE. I honor ALL THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE FOUGHT TO PRESERVE OUR FREEDOM AND WAY OF LIFE. I AM SURE THEY FELT ANGUISH AND ANXIETY BUT THEY KNEW WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND THEY SERVED THEIR COUNTRY PROUDLY. I ALSO HONOR ALL THE FUTURE VETERANS THIS WAR WILL PRODUCE. May God Bless them and keep them safe........... |

I was watching the news, just tonight and it said that USA and UK have a video tape of Laden ADMITTING he did it and he and the Taliban will NOT be stopped, EVER. They interviewed imprisoned Taliban and they said the same thing. They also said that they would be more "sneaky" from now on til they are ready to STRIKE again... NOPE... we are NOT wrong... Our leaders and the leaders of other countries are doing the RIGHT thing... we need to BACK them, not DOUBT them... that is NOT UNITED!!!!! I agree with Racquie too... |

Is it conceivable to believe that those behind the deaths of over 5000 Americans, who were killed on American soil, will now be nice guys if we stop making them mad? Reminds me of the theme in the movie High Noon, where the majority refused to back the sheriff fight the bad guys when they found out they were returning. Bad guys don't think like that. In real life we are dealing with terrorists, the ring leader being Bin Laden who now claims to have some nukes to add to his array of biological and chemical weapons. Kissing his behind isn't going to make this guy go away, I say put some Really Big money on his head, say $50 million to start, and add another $10 million every 30 days, dead or alive. That would attract a whole country, maybe two or three, and do that with those that follow in hif footsteps, till these guys get the idea, also give them to our allies who aren't squeamish about execution. The Saudi's have a very effective method of dealing with bad guys, and since Osama was ousted from there, I am sure he knows what that method is. Actually I worry more about the those HERE in this country who spout that we deserve to be attacked because of our evil ways, reminds me of mullahs in Pakistan who teach ignorant children there to hate Americans because we are evil. No nation is perfect, but we, as a nation, have come closer than any other. I don't see anybody sneaking past border gaurds to get to any other country in the world like they do trying to come to The United States of America. |

I heard the same thing Gail heard about the video. My understanding was that it was not made by the Jezee(hey, whats that news agency out there) anyways it was meant for his supporters(at least thats what the rumor is.....Hey Salkam I guess Bin Laden forgot to go to that web site you mentioned if he is admitting that he did it....Toro |

I am merely trying to provide two sides to the issue; trust me, my alliance lies with the US and its allies, and nothing else. |

Americans, I feel sorrow for the innocent lives. You went through what most of the people in the world witnessed every day: murders. All the bad have to be caught and punished for what they do. But we all in the world MUST BE equal when treating the bad. Americans do not care who is against them in this situation or who is for them. They accuse someone, they go after that someone. But when other country is in the same bad situation as America is today, the people of the country are hand tied. When people in the Balkans fought, Serbs were the aggressors. America was quick to say that there should be embargo on Bosnian government regarding weapons. Unarmed had to face the armed enemy. What is yet bad to mention is, that the biggest war criminal from the war, Karadzic, has never been searched for to be punished for the crimes, only on a piece of paper. Many of the war criminals are facing only 10 to 20 years of prison life, for the rapes, murders, etc. Is it right for some to take up the arms and go kill the enemy who provoked and attacked them, and yet for the others to be BY FORCE deprived to defend themselves? No. If one is allowed to get their justice so should be the rest. As for Bin Laden, I do not care. Who is guilty, should be punished. So if he is guilty, let it be what should be.
Many Americans were angry when Palestinians were celebrating the horrible 911 attack. And while I AM AGAINST SUCH behaviors, I could not help but think how the United States sells Israel weapons to kill the people with stones in their hands. We all must follow the justice to understand the impact of the evil. |

America has fought many wars and battles to help others fight their aggressors, I don't even KNOW anyone who did not have a loved one fight in WWII, and many of us lost many family members on foriegn soil. And whether Vietnam was right or wrong, many lost loved ones who died in country most of us never heard of at the time. We watched our fathers, cousins, uncles, brothers, and many lost husbands to a war their country sent them to fight. Why did Americans go into battle and risk their lives for another country, another nation, because that is what the leaders of this country asked of them, again many will argue over the right or wrong of wars that have been fought but Americans will always fight for what this country stands for... FREEDOM. And now we have been attacked on our land, our people slaughtered on our land, will America defend Her Own? With a vengence, the world will surely weep before this war is over but Americans will never give in to fanatics, they have proven in the past they are willing to die, for their country, for their people and for their freedom. Justice will not be cheap, but it will be brought upon those who have taken the lives of so many Americans. |
