I have noticed that everywhere I go , I always read or hear of the trials and tribulations of the single mother . Yet still , noone ever bothers to give notice to the single FATHERS out there in the world . I , being one of them , know that it must not be easy to be a single mom but , I do know first hand that us single dads don't have it exactly easy . If a man does not pay child support , he is a deadbeat dad and looked down upon by local goverment and the public but , if a woman does not pay .... well , she must be just having a hard time financially or , the father should be able to carry the burdens alone . If a man is not making enough for himself and his children to survive he should be able to go get a 2nd. job despite the fact that the 2nd job would only be enough to pay the baby sitter in the long run . But a woman should be able to get child support and / or welfare and have to work only one job . When a child needs the gentle understaning of his or her mother and the father is the only one around ..... well let me tell you all , there are some things that a man just does not know or even to do or how to explain . Now days a woman is NOT exempt from the dating compatability by having children because , society dictates that it is politically incorrect to hold it against her but a man with a child living at home is treated like a lepar by a woman with or w/o children at home because she does not want to " share " HER TIME with anyone else . A single dad has all of the same tribulations as the single mother and I would just like for once , to see the media acknowlege that fact and thus see this country become a bit more educated about this because , it IS becoming more common that you find the FATHER raising the children while the mother goes off and makes her new life and plat the field rather than vice versa . Because the sad part of it all is now days , it seems like noone is truly ready for children till they are 40 . I am not saying that these statements are true for every case but , from what I have seen and from the people I have talked to , it is the general consensus . All I ever hear and read about is what liars and rotten people single fathers are and the stories of the fathers that neglect thier children and have no cares about these children rather than any of the stories of the single dad's sacrificeing their lives for their children to have a good up bringing . But , I do praise anyone woman or man , who has the intestinal fortittude to love their children enough to be willing to sacrafice and allow the rest of their lives to be an never-ending struggle of living with and doing without for the sakes of these blessed children who did not ask for us to bring them here into this world . Well , these are just some thoughts and I did want to inform anyone who did not know that , WE DO EXHIST !!!! and we do deserve to be seen and heard and not just brushed away like the other things noone cares to see because most everyone like to keep things on a single sided coin because , they do not want to see that there is someone who has it just as bad and / or worse .
