Life consists of a very short span of time stretched over a period of emotional and physical growth and deterioration. Life consists of pain, of sorrow, loss, heartbreak, and anger. Life consists of joy, of happiness, love, laughter, and friendship. The sporadic ups and downs of existence are what make it interesting. The acquiring and the inevitable loss of love is what make it worthwhile. One day, the sun will set upon our lives, and we will cease to move onward. With our last breath, we will not condemn mistakes we made, instead we will lament what we could have done, should have done, but didn't. Inhibitions are worthless. Yes, they do allow us to save face, but in the end they only block paths that could be, even paths that should be. But who is to say what should or should not be? Not I. For I am just a lowly traveler here, just as lost as anyone, just as ignorant, just as blind, and just as uncertain. But what I do know is that when we draw our inevitable final breath, time will go on. The sun will rise and set, the seasons will come and go, lives will begin and end, just as they always do. The mistakes we made in life won't matter anymore, only the triumphs that made us shine. People don't remember the tears of those they've lost, only the smiles. Such is the nature of life and our choices in it. So do not fear the repercussion of a path you may take, for tomorrow it may not have one. Life consists of joy, of happiness, love, laughter, and friendship. Everything else just fills in the gaps between, and is forgotten.
