>>>>>>What Should We Do??<<<<<<

Hope you guys and gals can help me. Ya see my husband was run over by a tractor at work back in February, he has been on workman's comp. ever since. We have fallen very behind on our bills, since I just birthed a baby girl in July and was put on bedrest the last few mths of pregnancy and still haven't returned to work. Well, he got a job promised today, THEN, so did I. How coincedental? Well, he is still getting his check every week, and I don't know what we are gonna do if we both go to work, babysitter wise. No, I am not sending her to some daycare center. Do you think he should hold off, since he is bringing in money right now, and just me go to work so he can stay home with our little girl? We both are torn as to what to do. Please give it your best shot to help. Thanks in advance.

Date: 11/12/2001 9:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 35629    I would try and figure out a way for one of yall to stay home with her if you can.I always think that is best if you can.Not that thier is anything is wrong with a house with two working parents.I can understand people doing that too,I just think it is easier on all stress wise if someone can be at home.Less worries and all.
Date: 11/12/2001 9:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 21137    In the state that you live in, will his workman's comp be stopped when he goes back to work? What does his doctor say? How comfortable is he with your daughter? How comfortable are you? (usually women are more prepared to deal with the rearing part of parenthood) Which job pays better? Does either job offer another shift that you could transferr to in a while?
Date: 11/12/2001 10:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 6358    There usually are programs in every state that help with daycare expenses if you are low income...I would talk to a social worker or family services and see what your options are. Good luck!
Date: 11/13/2001 12:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 10657    Well, you have several options. 1. You need the money to catch up on bills. 2. You could try the church groups or local school groups. They will sometimes, provide services at a minimal cost. 3. Depending, on if you work slightly different hours you could see if, anyone in your neighborhood would be willing to watch her!
