Tips for repairing cracks and holes in walls!!!

For those who find a need to patch cracks and small holes in the walls, try mixing equal parts of starch and salt with just enough water to make a thick paste. Apply to the appointed area and smooth the surface.

If you will add powdered plaster to water instead of water to the plaster, there will be very few lumps to deal with.

When using regular joint compound to fill cracks and small holes, apply the material normally and then go over the area with a wet paint brush. Very little sponging or sanding will be needed to finish the job.

It is recommended that one wait for a few weeks before painting over a newly plastered area.
