I can't remember how I came across this info or how correct it is but wasn't Lilith the 1st woman before Eve. Isn't she also responsible for giving birth to all the demons? |

Well, you are right in the thought that she was the First Woman, created same as Adam, thus his equal. And bein' as such she refused to succomb to his will (which is often said to be a sexual act) and thus Jehova banaished her into the Land Of Nod. That's how most of the myths go anyway. I'm truly intrested in what happens after that. I know she is said to be the Mother Of All Demons, and I've my own ideals about that...Necrogod. |

And to 46266 your Bible does indeed at least contain on version of the Creation Myth and of Caine. If you really pay attention it also has stories of the Ancient Ones, Levithan, and some small references to Lillith Herself. Necrogod. |

Genesis 3:20 - "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living." Obviously they did sleep together. As for "some small references to Lillith Herself," I would like to inform you that the words Lilith or Lillith DO NOT APPEAR AT ALL in the entire Bible. I have no problem if you're looking for information on myths, but don't look to the Bible for those =]. Vert. |

Genesis 4:16 - "And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden." <-- The ONLY time in the entire Bible the word 'Nod' is mentioned. Hope this helps! Vert. |

Yes, Nod actually means nothing I think. Therfore the Land of Nod was simply Unknown Land. But the Caanites I think were supposed to be the childer of Caine...I think anyway. I'm not too sure about them since their entire bloodline was eradicated by the Christians and Jews...Necrogod |

Story, far as I know, Lilith wasa militant feminist, and would not play second to Adam, so she was banished and the calmer, gentler Eve was created. Now, hey say Lilith steals infants at night in place of the children she never had. |

True, all myths for Times long forgotten are nothing more than a story retold a thousand times over, and that it came from one myth and then another. But I've always believed that somewhere a myth started in a truth, and it may be a thousand fold removed from that truth now, it's what I want. Necrogod. |
