This is the greatest post I have ever read, I was raped, resulting in pregnancy, I chose to abort my child, because of medical and personal reasons, yet I cam condemed for my reasons every single day. It was not a decision I came to lightly, so I thank you for making everyone think twice!!! Karen ~Solitary Tear Of An Angel~ |

Karen, sweetie I know the heartwrenching decision of abortion. I had an ectopic pregnancy and almost died because of not having the medically necessary abortion that was needed until it was almost to late. I have also been called a murderer and have been condemned by others even though I almost died carrying something that had NO chance to live. I wanted that child and when someone judges me and doesn't even take the time to learn WHY I had an abortion, it hurts. I know it shouldn't but I admit at times it does. Please don't let anyone make you think any less of yourself, they are NOT you and they have NOT been in your place. Please message me if you EVER need to talk, hugs.............. |

I don't think some women who are on welfare are lazy, but they HAVE to use it to live on, because I was the one who had to be on welfare, I had to, i had a kid, im deaf and in this city, i couldn't find a job, if i didnt i can't have my son with me, i would have to give him to my mother, or my sister, but no i didn't. I was on welfare for a while until i found a job, I quit using welfare. so I do not think ALL women are on it lazy. just to let you know :) otherwise, good post hon. |

Panther lover, that is the whole point of the post, it is saying that not all mothers on welfare are on it because they are lazy, lol. I totally agree with ya, THAT IS MY POINT. :) Hugs to you and your son............. |

AZ, thank you for the great reply. I know all to well the trials of living with a child with ADD, it is HARD. My daughter was diagnosed when she was in kindergarten. I medicated while she was in kindergarten and first grade but we took her off her meds due to it totally exhausting her. It is hard, and the schools do not make things any easier either. Her first grade teacher had a son who had ADD, she made it a point to insist that my daughter would always have problems due to the ADD. Now her current (second grade) teacher insists she is like every other 2nd grader and that there is no problems. In society anymore it's sorta like you are darned if you do (medicate) and darned if you don't, know what I mean???? Huge Hugs........ |

In the situations you listed it would be unfair to judge. There are exceptions and I know some of them! Its not the people that need it and have a right to it that upsets people but its those who use and abuse welfare and make it a way of life and pass it from one generation to the other. I think you should have a choice in giving from your check to welfare, whether its a little or a lot. I should have a choice in who I support and I should know why I am doing it. I know someone right now is is happy living offf the welfare system, committing fraud to do it. This family has been reported many times but its never been taken away! I know other people who need it and cannot get it! I know one little elderly lady who could only get 13.00 a month in food stamps, ridiculous and think how she felt!Yet this young couple gets a free place to live, 525.00, 350.00 in food stamps, goodwill furnishes them with christmas, the two children get a social security check each a month, plus child support from their father. Now the step dad is trying to claim he is disabled to work and is trying to get a disability check too! They know the system and like a leech, they suck it dry. I don't judge people of children with problems that they have to take medicine for, never will, thank God, I never had to experience that. I don't condone abortion, unless its a matter of life or death. I do however think its wrong to get pregnant from moments of passion and pleasure and decide to kill the baby because you don't want it. There are too many ways to prevent unwanted pregnancy, you don't HAVE to get pregnant. Rape and life and death situations are exceptions. I know a nurse at an abortion clinic, she sees repeated young girls, some having had as many as three abortions and they are all under the age of 21, something is wrong! The stories they hear is that the girl thought if she got pregnant, her boyfriend would marry her or not leave, where is this attitude coming from? The Vets you talk about all get govt. checks and free healthcare, maybe they need more. I feel like if you can stand on a corner in the hot sun or cold, then you are capable of working, vet, or not. I am sorry. This is a great post for people that deserve what they need but its not realistic that all people fit into this category. Please don't be mad at me, its my opinion. BUSYBEE |

And another thing Busy Bee did you not read where it states "Walk a mile in their shoes before you condemn them and label them." I guess even though some of us have never had to deal with a situation we will always judge it. Oh well, guess you can't please everyone and I am not even going to try on this post, I am entitled to MY opinion just as YOU are entitled to yours, have a nice morning............... |
