A year after my husband and I were married we bought my family home. We had moved into the house when I was 6 years old. It was a huge old fashioned house with 3 stories. The house had been used as a funeral home prior to its becoming our family home. There had always been strange noises heard by everyone who stayed in the house. My Mother even had our pastor come and pray over the house. After that the noises somewhat quieted down, but never completely stopped.One night we were sleeping in our bedroom upstairs and I heard someone walking up the main stairway. They started on about the third step and went as far as the landing, not coming up the last five steps. I woke my husband up and told him to listen, that there was someone walking up the stairway. He heard whatever it was once again start on the third step and walk back up to the landing, we never heard them walk back down the stairs only up them. When you`re a kid you count steps and I had lived almost all my life in that house. I knew how each step sounded when someone stepped on it. I told my husband to get up and see who or what was walking up the steps. He refused to even get out of bed and check out the situation. His story was that he was too tired!!! I wouldn`t go alone so I never found out what was out there, but I do know that something was there!!
