I think that is really offensive!! I am not rich and I get straight A's!! That is totally the opposite! People who work hard at school get the good grades, which tend to be the rich ones cause they want to go to a good college. The slackers make the bad grades, they don't care about school. Yes, well maybe not offensive but I find people like that STUPID. I am not trying to be mean, but I personally know of very low class kids who strive to be the best and they are!! I also know those who are supposed to be the "good (rich) kids" that are the ones who don't care, b/c they think "daddy's" money will get it for them (WRONG!!!!!) Most of the time its them who get on drugs and in trouble more too. Also I know some very, very intelligent Mexican and blacks, one being my little sister, she is part Mexican and has recieved the highest academic award from her school since kindergarten, and she is now in the fourth grade, (but she isn't Low class!)~~~~~~Sorry So Long~~~~~~  |

well yes i do..and the other day i wasnt feeling good so my mom picked me up and took me to her work while we were waiting for my grandmother to pick me up...anyways this vietmaneese *sp* man walked in to apply for a job and my mother's coworkers were so rude i was stunned. i mean one lady said can you smell that and she said it smells like he has been wearing them same clothes for about a month and another lady said well they all smell that way and blacks smell a certain way too as well as whites i was like how can you dare say that? it made me so mad because i was never brought up to think that way and to hear someone else say that i was just like...well you arnt miss perfect either so shut up!!  |

There was something on tv the other night that said that children who live in poverty lack reading skills. There may be some truth to what they're saying, but there are also whites and other ethnic groups that are lower class, not just Hispanic and black. It doesn't sound like these women were talking about facts and studies they read or saw on tv. I'd be offended if it wasn't something documented that they read somewhere. But, the difference is.....I would have asked them where they got their information from no matter how sick I felt. I'm always well enough to open my mouth! LOL!  |

How ignorant can some people possibly be?! I agree Rika..the lower class kids that make the good grades happen to get into good colleges. Funny thing is tho is that most millionaires made a C average in school according to the news that my father watched. |

I doesnt matter what economic class or race you belong to. Some rich kids get bad grades some poor kids get bad grades. Some white kids get bad grades some black kids get bad grades. And anyway who cares if low class or high class get higher grades? What is the purpose of even having a conversation like that? I say look at what you do or hat your children do in school and stop worrying about other peoples kids.
