Walk a mile in my shoes before you judge me ............. MonkeyLuvr

Have you ever felt a pain so deep it could not be expressed with words or tears? Have you ever felt as though living took everything you had inside you?

How we deal with our pain is our personal cross to bear. Some lash out at others, some are the class clowns, some are rooted so deep in shyness they can't even speak to someone, some are the ultra cool people hiding under their glossy lifesyle.

Have you ever dealt with a pain so deep you could not find it's roots? No matter how far you go inside yourself to try and numb the pain, you cannot find a way?

I live with that pain daily. I am the class clown of USM, but that is how I deal with my pain. This isn't a whine post, nor is it asking for negative opinions. I am simply stating that daily, I live with pain so deep, I can never even hope to live without it.

Daily, I live with memories that tear me apart inside. In the middle of the night, they sneak up on me and pounce, until I wake up sweating and fighting a ghost. In the middle of the day, I feel like vomiting sometimes because all I can do is sit at my computer and cry. I fill my life with so many things, just to escape my own mind.

To each and every USMer... You don't know the things that everyone on this site has been through. Some say that I am naive, that I am too soft, that I am too emotional. Well, here is what I have to say. You go through the things that I have been through, and I will applaud you for being here today, because what I have been through has made some of the strongest women on the face of this earth commit suicide.

Until you have walked a mile in another USMer's shoes, do not even presume to know that person totally that you can say for certain that a person is too something. Don't presume that you know everything about everyone. Because you don't. Sometimes, who a person is, is what life has made them. This is how they survive, by being who they are. From my point of view, while writing this, I have had to admit to myself that I have done this. Said that a person was too something. Well, I cannot and do not want to change what someone is, because I do not know everything about everyone's life.

So here is what I mainly have to say. If you have done this, at least admit it, and try to grow from the experience, as I have had to. Yes, I still feel that I have been wronged by a few certain people in my life, but as a Christian, I have to forgive and go on without holding a grudge. We can never be friends with everyone on earth, but we can be polite, at least. Being polite never hurt anyone. Be who you are, yes, but try to be polite and courteous with it, also.

Thanks for listening, and remember.. No negative comments, please.

Date: 12/10/2001 8:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 18516    WOW ML! This is an excellent post. I'm speechless. You are so right! You think you know someone totally but u don't know what they've been through in life or what they've had to go through. Sometimes people keep it inside b/c it's better that way..there afraid of how people might judge them or what people would think of them. So the pain stays inside and comes out in different ways. Thank You ML. This hits close to home 4 me.
Date: 12/10/2001 8:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 5301    ...from one class clown to another, I know where you're coming from. I can't say that I know what you're going through right now or what pain and loss you've had but I can only hope that things start going better for you. You're a very sweet little Monkey and I've always had a great time yakking with you.
Date: 12/10/2001 8:32:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    Lemon, I am so glad that you understood what I was trying to get across. Thank you so much for your positive reply. And for validating what I had to say. :( Sad as it is, some people do go through events that will make them who they are. Another sad truth is the judgement part. There will always be someone that will judge, but hopefully the better part of this world would not. I love ya, Lemon, my Southern sis, BIG MONKEY HUGS!!!!
Date: 12/10/2001 8:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    Great post, Monkey! :) I understand what you're saying. I get really sick of people when I try telling them I have problems that say "You have it good!" or "I have it SOOOO much worse." They really have no idea. Glad you posted this. *hugs*
Date: 12/10/2001 8:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 18516    AW ***BIG HUGS*** to my southern sis! If u ever wanna talk u can ALWAYS msg me. Sometimes it helps to talk..it helps lift that huge weight off your shoulders and know that u have someone u can count on to talk to anytime anywhere. *Hugs*
Date: 12/10/2001 8:38:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    Daddy Heckler...! Isn't is so sad that so many know exactly where I am coming from? You are a sweet man, Heckler, and I always enjoy yakking with you, too! The world needs their class clowns, lol! Just think of all the serious minded people going around, mumbling under their breath because the stock market had gone down or something.. LOL! Thank you so much for reading and replying, and I too hope things get better. One day they will... One day... LOL, until then I will survive by being the class clown... lol. I love ya, Daddy Heckler, BIG MONKEY HUGS!!!
Date: 12/10/2001 8:40:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    *BIG MONKEY HUGS* Rika!!! That is one thing I could never do, say another's pain is more or less than my own. Because we don't know intimately that pain, or what has caused it, or even how it has affected the person. I am so sorry about your pain, Rika, I truly am. :( I love ya, BIG MONKEY HUGS!!!!!
Date: 12/10/2001 8:41:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    Lemon, I hope you know that the same offer is there from me. Thank you so much for your offer, you are truly a caring, loving person!! Who you are is worth your weight in diamonds, Lemon!! Love and BIG MONKEY HUGS!!!
Date: 12/10/2001 8:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 20956    *clap clap* once again you've moved me with one of your amazing posts. what you say is so very true, people are so quick to judge and assume they know another person simply cause they have read a few of their comments of a couple of posts. Hello?!!! It can take an entire lifetime to truely know another, but some people dont seem to understand this. gigantic *HUGS* to you Monkey, and thanx once again for remininding us USMers to open our eyes and think before we type ....
Date: 12/10/2001 8:55:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30743    Thank you Sun Angel for summing it up so well!!! Your words, It can take a lifetime, truly moved me! And it is so true. Over the internet, we see only the parts of ourselves that we allow to be seen, that doesn't mean that it is the only parts of us there are. Who we present to the world is often a way of surviving for many of us. Thank you again for truly summing it up so well and with only a few sentences what it took me paragraphs to write.. LOL, I think I could learn from you! :D Thank you, Sun Angel, I think you are a wonderful person! Love ya, BIG MONKEY HUGS!!
Date: 12/10/2001 9:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 34328    Amen, Monkey. So true, so true. Even hidden behind our computer screens we are "ourselves." i have been fascinated with "observing" people on the net. How they behave, what they say, how they interact. I just noticed a pal of mine once again flaming an innocent poster.(on another board not usm) It hurt me to see it. Then I came here to see your thought-provoking and honest post. I cant judge. but I can rethink my opinions of her. I dont know her pain. Thanks for the reminder. BTW, Im a firm believer in "we are not just nics on the screen, but real people." Take care :0
Date: 12/11/2001 4:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 30229    Monkey, my little niece, this is a FANTASTIC post!!! So very true that one NEVER knows what another goes through or has been through in thier life away from USM... I bet there are a LOT of people here who are ONLY happy when they are on here and they dont deserve to be insulted during their visit. Our lot in life, as human beings is to treat each and every one of the people here as we want to be treated... how easy that sounds.. *sigh*... I am human, just as you are, just as each person who is a member is... we ALL mess up and when we do, we need support, not put-downs... I also think that each and every one of us gets on that proverbial "PITY POT" sometimes .... some post about it, some suffer in silence... but we all do it.. we all are human. One thing that I DO know, Monkey.... is that YOU have so very much LOVE about you that it warms MY heart!!!! I love ya Monkey and I want to thank you for bring this up... Huge Hugggggggggssssssssss for you!!!!
Date: 12/11/2001 5:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 40341    Regina I just read your post you are so good at getting right to the heart of things all I can say is wowwwww great job LOve Mom
Date: 12/11/2001 6:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 22852    Standing and clapping to the best post I have read in a long time. I wish I could reach through the screen and give you a great big hug.
Date: 12/11/2001 9:47:00 AM  From Authorid: 30621    This was very worth reading. God Bless....
Date: 12/11/2001 11:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 10245    yeah, I've done it...(just recently as a matter of fact! LOL) You bring up good points that we all need to be reminded of sometimes :o) Thanx!
Date: 12/11/2001 2:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 21266    This is an AMAZING post MOnkey and YOU are an AMAZING person! I do know for a fact, that behind those laughs, jokes, and giggles, there's a little girl hurting inside. How I'd long to just pull that little girl out of there and place the HERO that you really are instead! YOU're a brave, strong, intelligent, lovely person Monkey and whatever you're going thru I just KNOW you have the potential to go through it! LOVE YA,
-AHD

Date: 3/13/2005 9:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 7574    You can never really know what everyone else has been through..We've all had trials and tribulations and of course some are worse than others, but they affect each of us in a different way. It's so hard not to judge people though, but I am working on it...
