Christmas Traditions.....Ladyluck

Hiya guys! *hugs*

In our family we have a tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. Each year, about a week before Christmas our Elf bags go up...These are little bags that hang on the kid's bedposts....If they have been good the Elf leaves them a little treat...If they have been bad...there is either nothing or a little note left, reminding them that Christmas is coming VERY soon and Santa is watching! LOL

I remember when I was a little girl waking up in the morning and looking under my pillow to see if the Elves had left me a treat, and I would be so delighted when I found something! Usually is was a candycane, or a chocolate Santa or something, but I thought it was the BEST!

My Grandmother did this with my Father and his siblings when they were children and my Father did this with us as well...and now I do this with my own children! Only thing is...before the treats were left under the pillow..I bought the kids little bags and we call them Elf Bags..they are easier than trying to sneak something under their pillow while they are sleeping!

So...My question is...Does anyone else have any family traditions for Christmas?? Something that has been passed down from generation to generation??

Love to you all!

xoxo Ladyluck

When I lived in my hometown, we used to go every year to the Village Christmas tree on Christmas eve and the kids would get to see Santa and get a treat while the adults congregated in the fire hall for coffee and donuts..It was a way for the whole community to get together and spend some time together on Christmas Eve...This will be the first year I miss..:( xoxo

He made me handprints when he was five and I cherish them still today, but I never thought of doin it every year for our tree. This is a very nice tradition you have.
