I am terrified of needles,expecially blood tests! my last blood test i had done i almost fainted, i got all dizzy and couldnt see properly. and i get really scared just SEEING the needle ~~ iam such a sook, lol!! But i was fine when i got my tattoo done, so i dont know what happened there  ....  |

...needles and things are a walk in the park for me. I nearly fell asleep during a root canal job on a molar. Try not to concentrate on your fears as much and you'll probably not even notice the pin-prick of the needle. A mosquito does more damage to you when it bites.  |

I used to be afraid of them, but I had to spend 3 months in the hospital because of a bad wreck, and ever since then it doesn't really bother me. They took my blood every day, and I also had to have a blood transfusion which lasted like 8 hours..now that was hard. Don't want to do that again!  |

Oh Lord Lone Angel, How horrible! I've had the opposite of that problem..If I have bloodwork done my blood automatically slows down..LOL The longer it takes to flow out the longer the needle stays in. Thanxs for the luck..I'll need it! |

...I must admit though, when I was in public school in the sixties and they had immunizations at the school, the rest of the kids and myself would line up outside the nurse's office and look like we were on death row. It's pretty funny to remember that again! Thanks for making me smile at myself! |

Yes...I get that exact feeling..I know what you are talking about..I've had the smelling salts..this after a shot in my chest...I think anyone might need them then!..and I've had more than one doctor bring a cold rag and sit with me..lol..I always feel like such a weinie afterwards..lol  |

Papi that's happened to me too. I was at the hospital with a bad migraine and the nurse tried to take blood but she couldn't find the vein so she stuck me two different times then called in another nurse to do it. A total of 3 times. |

i used to hate them but not anymore. when i was pregnant i got sooo many shots that my veins were bruised. it's not scary to me anymore though i know what kind of pain to expect...thank God its just a lil bit of pressure though and nothing too bad.  |

I'm not afraid of needles or shots..but, for some reason with both of my pregnancies..i'm the lucky patient who gets the new trainees...they have that 3 tries..NEXT nurse please! I had to go through two nurses and man! my arm hurt! My last delivery i didn't get my pain shot..because, the person didn't know what she was doing..it's really fun..you should try it sometime..hehe  |

No, shots have never bothered me. I took allergy shots for several years. At first my father gave 'em to me, then I took over the honors, then later on, would give my father his insulin shots twice a day. Then for the short time my mother had vitamin B12 shots, I gave her those, too. So, guess it's just old hat to me. Hope this helps. Perrianne  |
