well..the ritual of a penguin is once they find a partner its for life...they will spend their whole life looking for that one special penguin so it sounds like they can be homosexual though i have never heard of this before...interesting...sk8r |

LOL drkptrs..no, but it would be it they were humans - animals aren't that petty though, to them they don't feel rage over anothers sexuality, i guess they mind their own business and worry about their own sexuality, in this, they are more advanced than we are - |

I saw this on t.v., and there was additional information on gay animals. For instance I think it was seagulls that have been observed to be in lesbian relationships. I find it all pretty interesting... Thanks for posting it Heather! |

In some insects, like Ants and Bees. I am into the study of bugs. From what I have read, somehow a drome(males) will produce a queen(female). I believe it is two dromes, they get together, I am not sure of the detials on that. But a queen is produce. Then the Dromes mate with the queen, where the queen will lay eggs. Those eggs will hatch to produce soilders(the soilders are genderless, no male or female reproductive organs). Maybe these penguins are something like that. Which would be increditible, we only see it in insects, but never have seen it in a bird. |

Good point Drk, but I think the bugs do it out of instinct. Penguins have bigger brains and might be capable of emotions. This is all very interesting. |
