I don't know if their is enough time in Olympics to have a full fledged tournament. It takes a week to recover from a game. and all those countries. Would be a mess. ![]() |

can you imagine what would happen if that happend? The US would crush every team. If we put together an allstar team like Hockey does then no one would beat us ![]() |

I don't think it can. American football rules are different than every other countries rules, so there is no true "right" way to play it. It would be hard to conform to one set of rules. ![]() |

Canadian football has only 3 downs instead of four, their field is a different length than ours, they have different rules all around, as many other country's rules differ. ![]() |

I agree with Agent Smith and Hugo. Besides, simply the name "American" Football will prevent it from becoming an Opympic sport, because the Olympics is playing down national pride more and more. ![]() |

You guys made good points, It is difficult to recover from a football, it takes a week.![]() |
| Date: 2/23/2002 8:05:00 AM From Authorid: 37354 American football, the average play lasts 10 seconds, there are 30 seconds between plays. This means 15 minutes of action in a 60 minute game. A player only plays offense or defense. They are actually doing something for only 7 1/2 minutes a game, yet you see some teams wear down in the 4th quarter. What physically fit athletes! Hugo |
