I don't know what I think about that. But, I do know that if Steve/Sarah was my son I would be very concerned for his safety. I would be afraid kids would beat him up. Granted kids (boys) can get in physical fights anytime, but I think if my son wears a dress to school someone might just kick his butt. |

I feel sorry for this boy...He is going through some major things, and by cross dressing he is setting himself up for some major hurt...Kids can be REALLY cruel...and they have NO compassion...Its a shame some of those kids dont try to get to know Steve/Sarah...they may just beable to look past the exterior and find a wonderful person inside...xoxo |

I donno to me it's all confusing. In my high school we have tons of people who are bisexual or homosexual. Infact not to long ago I learned that 6 of my friends were bisexual one was my best friend and another was my cousin and the rest were other friends. I think that people are really coming out with there sexuality and there is going to be alot of contriverse over it. Just like racism, people started standing up for who they were and people either goes with it or doesn't, but just look how far it has came for the good. I think that what we might see now will feel odd to some, but I think people are in the stage of soming out showing her they really are, and there is nothing wrong with that. Personaily I'm hetrosexual, but I donno care what other people are and do with there lifes b/c it's there life to live not mine and we are all equal either way about it. So what may be may be in my opinion friend. |

I don't see why not...as long as they don't violate the dress code what's the problem? I just see a problem with teasing and such. |

At my old school we had a person by the name of "Chloe" who was also a cross dresser and insisted he was truly a she. By order of the principal, "Chloe" had to use the restroom in the nurse's office. Before he/she moved to our school ( a huge school) EVERYONE knew about it before "Chloe's" first day even. He/She got beat up every day and it was so horrible for Chloe that he/she transfered again to a different school. I don't necessarily think that it's a bad thing for other kids to be exposed to this kind of behavior, however it does teach people how to be negative toward individuality by having only one of these. On the other hand, I think it helps people to accept individuality by being exposed to this type of behavior. Once a kid is out of high school they're going to be exposed to these people in the real world anyway. They might as well know how to deal with them. I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with people being like this... I wouldn't do it but it's their choice and it expresses their right to individuality and freedom, which I'm all for. It doesn't hurt anyone else and people should not be so judgemental. I do think it's bad for that person... they're not treated well under those conditions and it's really sad, but if they choose to be that way they have to accept the consequences I guess. |

It should be allowed, lol as long as there is no indecent exposure. These are different times, people are trying to be less biased, more freedom. If a guy wants to dress like a woman, then let him! As long as he isn't hurting anyone. |

There are no morals! OK to the topic, students should wear uniforms. This almost totally does away with competitiveness and showing off at school, rich and poor, gay and straight, black and white all dress the same, which helps a ton with learning. Don't you all see how low the learning standard has gotten? School becomes like a fashion runway, and if there were simply boy and girl uniforms, we wouldn't be having this discussion. How people want to dress after school would be up to them. |

This issue prolley concerns every parent. My personal opinion is to let people, especially teens, express their individulity. During the teen years is when someone has the most impact in their life...and if one feels the need to discover themself than i feel that they should. If its leagal out in the public it should be alright in school...i mean its not like other students havent seen it before. Movies nowa days tell all!! ~~~~~cookiecrumbs04~~~~~ |

I don't know-- when I was in high school we had a girl with pink hair, a guy that hairsprayed his bangs straight up and wore leiderhosen for a week, and a guy that dressed like Robin Hood. Yeah, some of them got picked on, but, it was nice to have people around who weren't afraid to stand out as individuals among the usual crowd of sheep. I think it's harmless, and it lets kids see that not everyone tries to go along with the crowd. |
