Pink eye is very contagious, make sure you stay away from those who have it, the only way to get rid of it is seeing your Dr. for medication..sorry, but that is the only advice i have for you..  |

Well I cheated to find this information, but hopefully it helps....... Wash hands throughly Before you use the medicine in your eyes. After using the medicine in your eyes. Everytime you touch your eyes or face. Wash any clothing touched by infected eyes. Clothes Towels Pillowcases Do not share make-up. If the infection is caused by bacteria or a virus you must throw away your used make-up and buy new make-up. Do not touch the infected eye because the infection will spread to the good eye. IMPORTANT!!! You're pretty much doing whats expected of you do avoid pink eye but as its read it spreads very easily! *hugs* I hope the problem gets taken care of soon!! Take care!!!  |

Growing up back on the Ranch we had cattle that used to get pink eye, we used to spray this purple stuff on them that cleared it up. You might want to consult a vetrenarian.  |

My dad got it and had to go to the doc, but the nurse told him to put drops of milk in his eyes and it would heal......apparently there is a vitamin in the milk that cures pink eye. I can't guarantee it will work, but the nurse said she could get in a lot of trouble for telling us that because they could lose money for not getting patients. It's worth a shot I guess!   |

Oh mercy me; I've been in the SAME boat, Corky. I've spent a fortune on eye drops, gels, anit-biotic ointments and visits to the Opthalmologists.(Sp?). I do the warm compresses, the genteel tears eye drops, and the genteel gel at night. It just takes forever. *sigh* It comes and goes; sometimes I think it's healed and gone away; then it flares up again.  |
