I can hardly come up with a response to you NanSassy. Our government, ANY government must be watched, There will always be corruption, mostly little things, some big things to of course, but out of all the governments in this entire world, wouldn't you think our government is one of the most trust worthy toward it's citizens at the very least? Do you really think the government would plan something like 9-11 and get away with it? Nixon couldn't even get away with the "illusion" of corruption, Clinton couldn't get away with a little hanky-panky without it becoming know, yet they can plan and get away with something like 9-11?? I just don't think so... |

I agree. I too am all for good investigative journalism in order to get at the facts but some of the wilder theories doing the rounds right now are just so far up the wall that I wonder if they aren't coming from unsound minds. It's always good to have a dose of healthy scepticism, but when it boils over into a complete denial of the facts then something needs to be said. And I'm glad you said it, Kelly. XXXXX  |

Perhaps the best post I have read since I have been on board at USM. We ARE AT WAR and still people thumb their collective nose at the government. When do you stop whineing that you don't trust the government and get behind it. There was a time you could be hung for treason for saying such things...but I trust that this government won't reinstate that practice. Thank you Miss C. I would like to know if these sort of things were going around during wwII. I know there is speculation about Pearl Harbor. Some think our government knew about the attacks and let it happen to get us into the war, I somehow doubt that was widely believed during the war though, but the American people were much more involved in the war effort at that time. |

people make those posts and ask those questions because the truth isnt always laid right out nice and neat, i'd bet about everyone here has a story, thats the truth, and every thime they tell it no one believes them, i guess a small example of what close mindedness can do is to take a look at all the people getting off of death row that were innocent, the investigators try to find who they think their man is then all evidence is seen as this person being guilty then the media plays there role, anyway, i'm just saying all options should be considered the truth isnt always what is right before our eyes, no matter how plain and simple it looks  |

Come on get real, I love the USA just as much as the next person, It's my home and I am proud of it....But I don't sleep all the time...As far as Nixon and Clenton go, they just got cought!Haven't ya'll ever heard the saying " wash my back and I'll wash yours"? Favors play a big roll in our government..And Yes WE are the People, but we have very little over what actually goes on.Sure we can write letters till our fingers turn blue but unless we have someone that will really lissen and then act we as people are powerless...And someone mentioned Clinton, well if you got cought at work playing around with the other sex would you get fired right there on the spot? You know you would..See if depends on who you are.. Oh yes, and what you do.I am not knocking the USA I am simply saying there is something burning in the kitchen of our government. |

Thinker, I never said anything about the stories that were going around...Anyone with alittle bit of a brain knows that they are just wild stories..I for one have a nephew that worked in the area of the WTC and he had to watch as people died and the buildings fell killing many others...So lets get it stright, I am fully aware of the war that is going on !I simply said that our government hides alot from us.. |
