My mother was born Sep 23rd, 1944. Prior to that period, her adoptive parents were dealing with an agency in San Francisco. It was called the Sons and Daughters of the Golden State. My adoptive grandparents had been very specific in what they were looking for. They wanted a female with blonde hair and blue eyes. It took 3yrs for the agency to locate parents that could provide such a child. My adoptive grandparents did not tell my mother until she was 16 that she was adopted. My sister's and I did not find out until after my grandfather's death. This was in 1986. We have been looking for our real grandparent's or any family members ever since. The adoption agency closed. All hospital records and adoption records are now in the basement of the Sacramento Court House. She was born in Merin County at the hospital there. That hospital is now a psychiatric hospital. My adoptive grandparents named her Mary LouAnne DeRoos. We have no idea about the birth parents. The Court House will not release the hospital records nor the adoption records without a court order. To obtain a court order, my mother would have to pursue. She has mixed emotions. She wants to know, yet she feels like she would be disloyal to our adopted grandparents. Even though both are deceased. I have 2 sister's. My mother has suffered quite a few diseases. 1 is obesity. The other is WPW. Wolf Parkinson's White. It is a heart disorder where the values do not connect properly therefore the blood does not go anywhere. This is usually found in children. It did not appear in my mother until 1987. She had laser surgery to correct the problem. The surgery was fairly new at the time. We really would like to know our mother's side of the family. It is very important to us. The Court House told us the only way that one of us 3 girls can pursue is when my mother is deceased. She is going to be 58 here soon and we do not want time to lapse much more. It will become impossible soon I am sure to trace. If anyone has any information we would be greatful. Thanks...
Tina M. Crouse Why we are looking for them:I explained in the above information.
