ok, the other day in school, they gave us a presentation on suicide and suicide prevention. but the only thing i didn`t like about it was that it didn`t tell you really how to deal with a friend commiting suicide, or helping another friend who had a friend/family member commit suicide. i think that these presentations and lessons should go past the technical things, and facts, and try to give us help on dealing with it mentally. sure, they give us facts and figures, but that won`t mean a thing then a friend is dead, or when a friend needs you to be there for them because they just lost someone they loved. and then, too, they just give us the facts, the sighs too look for and things, and sure that will help, but when a friend comes to you confessing suicidal attempts or thoughts, that really isn`t going to help us very much. i would really like to know some peoples thoughts on this please.
