I don't think you can get that back. The grass doesn't even smell as good as it did when I was younger, it actually musta changed somewhere or something. |

Thank you all for the comments. Sk8r, that is really cool about being able to see life from your kids point of view! That is awesome! :) |

Im only 13 yet I often ponder over this questiom. I know that I am still young, but still, things are not the same as they use to be. Not for me anyways. Maybe I just have a mature attitude :). I sometimes have to stop and force myself to slow down and take a look around at the things that I might one day never notice again. |

I have thought about this too, Hollylovebug. I guess, for me, I have come to the conclusion that it is not that we have too much important stuff to deal with and no time for natural highs....as it is that we forget what really is the important stuff and fall for the illusion that the things that really are not as important...are the more important things in life. I think we lose our priorities somewhere along the way sometimes in our struggle to survive and get ahead in life. We forget that those little things that give us natural highs....are really the more important things and that those other things that we think are important....really do not necessisarily have to take up so much of our time and focus....because they always have a way of working themselves out anyway. Imagine if you really did take time to be on the softball field and smell the fresh grass....feel the wind blow....notice the beauty of a sunny day...hear the birds chirp.....and then after having allowed yourself to notice and focus on that....then go about your day....how much easier and less stressful your day would be and how many less problems you would actually have. I really think it is just a matter of what we choose to focus on....we've just forgotten. |
