I'm sure that it's no secret by now that I hate...no, I loathe and detest sports so, to me, you aren't missing out on anything at all but a chance to get in front of a crowd once a week. I'm sorry for your disappointment but I'm sure there are much better things for you to do to occupy your time. That is only my opinion and I'm entitled to it. To each his own, I suppose.  |

Wanna hear my story?? too bad if ya don't..you're gonna hear it anyways..:oP...WELL..i was a cheerleader for our town in 5th grade..tried out for my jr. high 5th, 6th and finally in 7th, I made the squad...that felt great..except 8th grade, i couldn't do it cuz it conflicted with me being the yearbook editor in chief...so here comes high school tryouts, and i'm all psyched like you were, and i tried out, and guess what...i didn't make it..so the coach told me to try out for soph year..and guess what..i didn't make that either..so i gave up...i figured "stupid cheerleaders..who needs them anyways" and i got into what i really love doing, which is acting instead..so good luck sweetie..i'm a senior this year, so high school will be done with for me in about 2 months..make it the best years you can and i hope you find your own "activity" that you can be in and enjoy while you're in school..sorry you didn't make your squad..I know i felt crushed when i didn't make mine either..at least you only had to wait an hour to find out..i had to wait the whole night, go back to school in the morning to look at the roster of girls who made it, not seeing my name on the list..made me feel like poop the whole day...:o(..ohh well..you'll do fine...:o) Good luck with high school Jess :)  |
