I think a person only has to share what they are willing to through their words. Sometimes the only thoughts at the time are "That's a good post" But I agree I enjoy when someone elaborates more on their thoughts and really open themselves up to saying more about what they think and feel. It's nice to see people who take the time out to really say more... but I respect those that just choose to keep it simple. I can be both ways soemtimes but overall I like to try and say something that isn't so general.  |

LOL..Unfortunately for me..i tend to write a book when it comes to replying..but, it would be nice to get replies with a little more substance in them...I've done short replies only for the mere lack of words.sometimes short and sweet is better than long and meaningless..wait! except for mine of course..hehe..just teasing I get what ur saying though..i agree somewhat  |

i understand completly but to expand on what i was saying most people only give a respons so they can get their tag and it is a generic response and that just comes off as a bit of a slap to the face

Yeah, I know what you mean but if you'll notice, many of those who do bother to respond to you with something short and sweet already have their tags so they have nothing to prove to anyone. Hey! Have you ever noticed that if you put your hands on the keyboard wrong, it's pretty hard to read what you write? Here! Keep writing and don't ever get discouraged. It's people like you who keep USM alive and kicking and people like me who make Radman and Ginger wonder sometimes why they ever let me have an account in the first place. It's okay. Have you ever noticed how you can make some pretty cool things out of a can of Spam and an exacto knife? Well, you can! You should check that out sometime. I learned that in art class in junior high. I'll never forget how I got an "A" for making a sculpture of Abraham Lincoln. Then we ate it! It was pretty good but then one of his big ears got stuck in my throat and nearly choked me to death! I worked in a bar once and one day a guy came in and asked me to make him a Zombie so I leaned over and cut out his frontal lobe! Have you ever watched that Surviver show? I don't like it! Everybody on there always survives! I have yet to see them pull one lifeless body from the water! I ate some shrimp tonight. Pretty cool, huh? They looked like big bugs but they tasted just like a chicken would taste if it was a shrimp. I'll have to remember that from now on. I have to go to the store tomorrow. What do you think I should buy? C'mon tell me! Tell me now, darn you! How on Earth am I supposed to know what to buy if you don't tell me? Aaaaaaiiiiiieeeee!!!!!  |

I believe that we reply to posts that truly touch us with an elaboration of how it touched us. Sometimes a post may just tug a small smile from us, sometimes we are enraged, sometimes we cry and sometimes we laugh hysterically. But as most people here, I absolutely love the replies. And I will take them anyway I can get them. Communication comes in all forms. Some of the most important communication skills are hidden due to the circumstances in which we have all come together. For instance, you cannot see my smile thru this machine nor can you see me blush or cry. So in this instance we must rely on our words. Some people just don't know how to show the dimples with their words. :) Love, rebelsgirl  |
