DO NOT get a german shepard, they do make great watch dogs, its just that when they want to play they get really rough and dont realize they are actually hurting you, they are not gently, they have no clue how big they are, if i was you i would get a small dog like a chiuhuahua. when someone enters your home they do not know they bark that high pitched yappy bark and they will not shut up, if a burgalar trys to get a hold of em they will run under something and STILL bark, they are so small they can fit under just about anything that would be hard to get to. this is why people are scared to break in a house w/ a smaller dog. a big dog they can catch no problem. hope this helps somewhat lol good luck and i am very sorry about your doggie... *hugz~n~love* ~~~Skylar |

I'm so sorry about your boxer. Most any dog will be good with cats. Get them when they're no younger than 6 weeks old, preferably 8 weeks. The cats will teach the puppy to respect them along with your help. Cristal |

Well, Im no expert with dogs, But how about a Dalmatian? They tend to shed alot but I have heard they are great protection and if trained properly can be good with other animals. |
