I feel that no mediator is needed in some of the disputes. If others can let go of their pride and just let a situation go and stop bringing things up when situations have died down and the person has moved on to bigger and better things, then there would be no need for a mediator. Plus, they also need to stop assuming that everything you say and do from that point on is meant as a personal attack and not have to put up lame posts to compensate for some sympathy when the person isn't even thinking about you at this point. But then again, maybe the idea of a mediator isn't a bad one.  |

I think that's what the admins are for, but I have an idea that came from yours. What if we had a mediator section where people could volunteer to mediate and we could go in there and deel with our disagreements.  |

mediator is always neede in every aspect it is almost like having elders keeping us intact besides without their hartedly intent to keep the peace I believe this site would have never existed.Sometimes even a younger individual could or may have a better yield than our sense of direction.more power to the Administration lot of hugs  |

I think this is a great idea!! Sometimes the Admins have too much on their hands and can't really take the time to settle disputes so they just end up kicking them out of the chat room or send them a message in their box. And I think it would be great to have peer mediators you know?  |

I don't think so, absolutely not. If mediators are appointed and used then that is just showing the community of usm that childish behavior is tolerated. The arguments should not have to be taken that far to need a mediator.  |

See that's the thing though. I'm sure theres a lot of people here that don't feel usm is reality and that's why they don't act in a mature way about disagreements. In real life consequences are more of a reality. Here at usm they know they'll just get a warning. |

I am agreeing with Rainbow Angel.. The Admins are the mediators of the site. And chatmins are the mediators of the chat room. And monitors are mediators of there category. Pretty simple. Thanks for posting! XOXOXO  |
